Why did the DNC have to paint such a rosy picture of America?

The question was very simple, so lets try again. Who do you associate with in politics? What do they think on the issues?

You're trying very poorly to deflect.

You're in an extreme minority (anarchists) and so are part of the diversity of politics and people of America

Try to run away from that all you want, but it doesn't change anything.

I'm not an anarchist and I have told you this before. I'm also not deflecting, but asking a question to prove a point. The fact that you won't answer it speaks volumes too.

I have offered something that you refuse to acknowledge because it blows your little paddy about diversity out the window:

That you, yourself, are in an extreme minority in terms of your views and your politics... and therefore are PART of the diversity that you so disdain.

So it's really dumb to proclaim "Diversity is stupid" when you are not even close to any mainstream position consistent with the general population.

Diversity is not stupid in the general sense.
Hiring/Promoting less qualified people for the sake of diversity is stupid.

imo, diversity in a population is ok. It is not ok to use it as the benchmark for hiring or promoting people.

Doesn't matter to me if what I posted is mainstream or not. Its the truth and the truth hurts sometimes.

I am in favor of diversity because I and my family are diverse in their own right.

I am as diverse in my opinions as I am in my cultural and immediate background and so insisting that I must name who I am closely related to in terms of politics is a ludicrous proposition because there's no one person(s) that I immediately associate myself with in terms of politics because no one person shapes my entire view to any significant extent BECAUSE I am diverse in my own right.

There are people who've inspired various views of mine, Mandela , the man who saved my country and through which the diversity of my upbringing was made possible because he stopped the country descending into civil war.

But on the same coin I thought the best man to run for President in the modern era was Jon Huntsman, because I don't have to agree with someone 1000% to see worth in them.

Whatever poor attempt you are making here to discredit the notion that diversity is good, is falling flat on its face.

The fact is, you are so extreme in your views, and so outside the mainstreams of society that you are a part of that diversity that you so disdain.

But hey leave it to the apparent "libertarian" to be pissed off about that.

My point had to do with personal interactions and how people go about their life. What liberals support is forced diversity for diversities sake, which is not only harmful, but stupid.

Most of the DNC was amazing and should send a chill down the spine of anyone who cares about diversity. There was one problem I had with it, though. There was a definite flavor of jingoism at the DNC with all of the people waving flags and all of the " 'Murica we're awesome things are great!!".

The Democratic party should not be painting such a rosy picture of a country with a pitiful minimum wage, with huge amounts of college debt, with no real leadership on climate change, with rampant racism and sexism, police killings of African-Americans, and abortion restrictions. We need to be the party of change and not allow Trump to have the monopoly on change rhetoric.

In 2008 Michelle Obama said that for the first time in her adult life she was proud of her country. It was a very refreshing moment. What did she have to be proud of? Then she speaks at the DNC this year and all of the sudden she talks about how amazing things are.

We need to leave the flag waving and the American exceptionalism crap to the Republican party.

If you hand't noticed the Republican's stole the America sucks (and only one man can fix it) theme last week so the Democrats decided to out Republican the Republican's in return - and they nailed it.

The OPs defintion of "diversity" or society's current definition of "diversity" doesn't mean a variety of opinion. You're just creating a strawman. It specifically means racial identity. Get a clue.

another hate america post

Hate America? Hating bad low-growth socialist economic policies does not amount to "hating America" - or are you equating criticism of the sitting govt with hating the country? This is why all the One Party states of the world are run by socialists - because their socialism leads them to outlaw opposing opinions.

Slow down there, Skippy. The party in power is running a candidate that served as SoS under the current POTUS who they desperately need to praise. That means you can't ever admit that a "great", historic, demorat, two term POTUS has left a terrible mess for the next POtUS to try to fix (that is the job of the republicants). You must say that things are now getting better and we must keep making that progress by having yet another (more?) historic demorat as POTUS. ;)

A lot of Republicans liked the DNC for that reason, especially the #NeverTrump folks. No matter. Three hundred and sixty four days out of the year Democrats are anti-American. People are not going to forget that.

Since when does the GOP have a monopoly on love for there country? I know lots of R and D, there are patriots on either side of the ailse, we just need to reach across the aisle and compromise, instead both parties dig there heels in, cross there arms, and say no, bunch of children.

How is quoting the latest economic statistics of a 1.2% growth rate "making up a pretend world"?
You mean my paying attention to real-world statistics means that attitudes like mine "are the problem"?

"Why Did The DNC Paint Such A Rosy Picture of America?"
> Because a fool is born every 60 seconds.

Lately, I hear the word "Dark" mentioned a lot, but 'dark' doesn't describe Donald Trump; he's very upbeat and optimistic.
Instead, "dark" is used to describe the American landscape today, which is putting it rather mildly.
The Democratic administration severely damaged America and Americans, and they know it.
They've painted themselves into a corner with no defense. They decided that their only defense is to whitewash
the damage they inflicted with empty rhetoric about "love" and "unity" (cotton-candy world).

Instead of telling the American people exactly what she is going to accomplish as president, Hillary wasted the bulk of her time
talking about her opponent. Even when she wasn't expressing fear of her opponent, Hillary talked at length about NOTHING.
Anyone who heard that colorless speech knows that Hillary prefaced her sentences with: "I believe", "I'm gonna fight hard",
"I want", "I don't want" ~ ~ ~.

In their childish excitement, the DNC forgot to display the American flag, the first time in American history.
To rig the results, Hillary and Wasserman worked very hard to throw Bernie Sanders under the bus.
Although they pulled it off, Wasserman's emails were ultimately disclosed, which openly revealed her tactics of Hate & Separation.
Since the DNC was about to launch a smokescreen founded on Love & Unity, they knew that Wasserman had to go (talk about hypocrisy).

If the word "love" in isolation gives you a warm fuzzy feeling, you might've taken the bait: Hook, Line & Sinker!
Does "love" mean that all Democrats now love all Republicans? If that gives you any pause, then introspection might be in order.
Does the word "unity" give you a warm, fuzzy feeling? If it does, you might want to take a good look at the world around you.
Are you watching how well unity is working in France, Germany, Belgium, United States ~ ~ ~
