I think its ironic to hold up a constitution at the DNC. Since when do they care what it says? If this guy supports democrats, then he does not support the constitution.

You didn't say what you think a draft dodger is. Trump avoided the draft with multiple deferments and finally a medical exemption for bone spurs in his feet. The spurs luckily went away when he didn't need them anymore.

I'd call this inconsistent hypocrisy, but I now remember that you also alleged that Americans are evil because we kill 14,000+ innocent people for no reason every year and roughly 70% of those killers are Christians, so, Christians smear themselves too.

Oh wait, no I don't remember that, because you didn't say it. Hmmm. Wonder why it's only muslims who deserve group condemnation.

Nothing illegal about draft deferments. I took a couple during the Viet Nam war. I dropped the deferment (student), when it became clear that the draft board would not be reaching my draft number. I played the game to my advantage.

Trump didn't serve. Hillary didn't serve.


(fyi. my dad spent 30 years in the military. Was in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam). Figured that was enough for one family.:lol:

That's true, but when the guy who was deferred because of his family connections insults somebody who actually went to Vietnam and was a POW for a long time, then guy A(Trump) is clearly in the wrong.
 
So this guy was attacking Trump and totally missing the irony of Bill Clinton as Draft-Dodger-in-Chief? At least neither Trump nor any of the other conservatives criticized their country from foreign soil, the way Bill Clinton did.

Tulsi Gabbard, who nominated Bernie Sanders, served honorably in Afghanistan.
 
On the subject of draft deferments: I see no problem with anyone taking advantage of them when the draft resulted from us entering a pointless war of choice, like Vietnam.

Things would look different if it was a WWII-type situation, where very real evil had to be fought for the safety of the world.

Congress was granted the power to establish a uniform rule of naturalization, but that's as far as it goes in detail. And it means that Congress has the power to REGULATE naturalization, NOT prohibit it. It was on the same level as the Post Office, meant to exist and function properly, NOT prohibit it.

It said nothing about how many from which country could come in that year.

There is a lot of things Trump has said that I don't like including his insult about Sen. McCain. When someone brings up well he didn't serve, I mentioned neither did Hilary.

The Clinton-Albright intervention in the Balkans was also a war of choice -- one which saw NATO breaching its charter as a defensive organization, by aggressively invading the territory of a non-member state, Serbia, which it then dismembered in violation of the UN charter. Unfortunately, that ugly pair of war criminals were invited to speak at the farcical Democrat convention.

And meanwhile the Taliban and AlQaeda were able to grow and rise in the east, while the Clinton admin was engaging in adventurism in the Balkans. The Road to 9/11.

I agree. The draft is unconstitutional, and Vietnam was to be avoided. I applaud any who refused to be force to fight. Non issue here.
