Either/Or--Which IS It??? The 33,000 e-mail Question.

Did Donald Trump commit treason by asking Russia to spy on our government????
"Treason" is an exaggeration, but: Yes, he asked a foreign power to commit an act of espionage against the US government. It's completely ludicrous.

Or did he just ask Russia to help convict a criminal that is being protected by our corrupt government?
The FBI have the deleted emails.

I'm pretty sure that evidence collected by an act of espionage by a foreign power is not admissible in court.

We really should ferret out the truth on this one.
We already have.

What we haven't quite explained is why you're defending Trump when he is asking Russia to commit an act of espionage, and to directly interfere in a US election. Even given an understanding of tribalism and partisanship, it is truly stunning how much his followers will excuse.

He made a bad joke about the situation that fell flat for most people...

You don't see that quote as Clinton backtracking?

Sure, but that's not what this thread is about. There are about 94 other threads to discuss Hillary's email transgressions.

What does that have to do with what Trump said?

It would be nice if Trump were able to bait some country into confirming what we already know. If they were truly of no importance Russia might use it to embarrass the US. Of course If I was Putin I would rather Hillary win than Trump.

He needs arresting.

The woman that granted Russia a multi-million dollar uranium deal?

I was thinking the narcissistic megalomaniac who plays to the left side of the bell curve but, thinking again, Putin can't lose in this election, can he.
Honestly? If I was Russian or Chinese and wanted an American president I could face down and make back off, I'd hope for Trump. Clinton, I can see her committing to a military response while Trump backs off and tries to make a deal. Making a deal is what he does, right?

I think it is repugnant that so many people are willing to resolve to having either. There IS a better option.

Obama lite?

Meh...what do I know about Canada.

Probably just an iota more than you know about any other country.
Being American, I mean.

First the countries have to be relevant enough to actually 'matter'...not just be a weak sister neighbor. I do admit...I havent once considered looking up and participating in a political debate blog concerning Canada.

I'm pretty familiar with England, France, Germany, Spain, and many countries in the middle east after having spent a significant amount of time in each of those countries. Canada...other than a few research papers and marveling at the number of people that leave there...not so much.
