Sanders endorses Clinton. But,

What part of supporting the candidate most like himself with a reasonable chance to win against a much worse candidate is selling out?

The part about his finally realizing that ideological purity is probably not a good thing.

Doesn't matter. Hillary and Bill are two separate people. And oh yeah, contrary to what the Right Wing Hate Machine would have us believe, Bill was actually one of our better presidents. Dat Clinton economy* and Clinton surplus, anyone?

* - For the naysayers, I am fully aware that Clinton alone did not cause the excellent economy of the late 1990s. But he sure didn't get in the way of it.

Union and blue collar workers would disagree. Suspect that's why quite a few liked Sanders.

NAFTA

Stein offered to run with Sanders. He said no. Seems as if he hates Republicans more than he loves his principals. Just a typical whipped liberal sellout.

Yes he hates Trump but more importantly he is not a fool. Running 3rd party is for fools. It helps the opposition which hurts your "principles".

G.H.W. bush signed NAFTA first anyway. Free trade is a Republican invention and Clinton could not have stopped it.

Third parties are futile.

well, at least they threw him a couple platform bones. they won't actually do anything to move these bones forward and probably couldn't even get a bill that says ice cream tastes good through the current obstructionist congress, but i'm surprised that the DNC gave him anything. either way, i'm glad that a candidate who i actually like was even competitive in the primary. that's fairly rare.

They did their best to subvert him, like putting debates on Saturday night, when few are watching tv.

I think if Sanders had won the nomination he would have had a better chance at winning against Trump than Hillary.

she was always going to be the nominee. the fact that he was even competitive is a stunning achievement.

Agree. He was pulling in the coal miners, steel workers and blue collar votes in KY, PA, OH, MI and others. Its doubtful Hillary will win those. They are all swing states too. Sanders would have won them all easily.

the polls do support that argument. reality is more nuanced, but yeah, that would have been an important national discussion and a vote that i would have been happy to cast. i voted for him in the primary, and he won my state. that was a satisfying night.

Does anyone bother looking at how Hilliary and trump have been running their respective campaigns?

Hilliary has more resources she can use than Donald trump does.

DNC Panics As Jill Stein Fundraising Skyrockets 999% After Bernie Endorsed Hillary

Jill Stein’s campaign has seen a nearly 1000% increase in donations since Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton yesterday morning. The presidential candidate for the Green Party has made media headlines in the last 24 hours after speaking out against Sanders and his decision to endorse Clinton.

The key isn't third parties, it is relegating a major party to third-place.
