I've never suggested we "screen" people by their religion. And it's clear our current method that you like isn't working here in our country and it isn't working in other countries, either. We need to do a better job and we need to stop any of them from coming in until our methods are better. As I said, I'm not a security expert, so your continued, disingenuous requests for me to tell you WHAT those better methods are nothing more than a useless debate tactic. I don't care what those better methods might be, but I'm sure we have competent people who can figure them out.
Until we do, I have no problem disallowing Muslims from entering our country. It's for our own protection. You DO care about our own protection, don't you?
You must be a Trump voter. "We need to do better. No, I don't have any clue whatsoever what that means, but we should definitely do better."
Once again you say you want to disallow Muslims from entering the country? HOW?? Do you have TSA agents baptize everyone at the airport just in case? Until you invent mind-reading or a muslim detection device your suggestion is nothing but fantasy-land nonsense. A terrorist can just lie when asked.
The analogy is quite apt, assuming you do understand the application of analogy. Until we can cure ourselves of disease in the form of radical Islam, no further immigration from Islamic dominated countries seems reasonable. In Western countries where we can more properly investigate those wishing to immigrate/travel to the US, we should do just that.
If one cannot be properly vetted from any country, too bad, so sad. Blame the Muslims that are not taking care of the problem in their own ranks if they want to be partners with the rest of the civilized world.
As to Muslims, particularly radical Muslims, they exist worldwide. To assume they only come from Arab countries is to be ignorant. To assume that I assume that is...well, anyhow, here is an indicator of Muslim majority distribution worldwide:

Comparing 1.6 billion human beings to a virus to be exterminated is not an "apt analogy". As I said before, you could make the case that we shouldn't take anyone from 3rd world countries, but you suggesting we filter out specifically muslims is completely unrealistic and impossible to implement.
