Tired of hearing about emails. Trivial issue.

Because if somebody is willing to lie about something like that, why should we believe them when they claim to be telling the truth?
Yes, good question. If being president does not require being truthful about your sex life, then "lying" about it has no consequence.

Obama is a liar, GW Bush was a liar, Bill Clinton was a liar, HW Bush was a liar, Reagan was a liar. Did you have a point?

I didn't make a point because it would have no effect on you. That, in effect, is what I said. Was it confusing for some reason?

So...you have nothing to say. Got it.

There is such a thing as lying about unimportant issues, such as who gives Bill Clinton a blow job. Who cares.

I'm not the one who decided to ask him about it. However since it was asked, and he lied... well there is a value in learning who is honest and who isn't. Someone who will lie about something that isn't illegal and surely will lie about something that is to save themselves.

Since Clinton's presidency is over, what lie did he make that has consequence for you? For example, Bush lied about Iraq having WMD, that had major consequences.

Lying under oath is wrong. Lying to the people shows a lack of character. Cheating on your wife also shows a lack of character.

Clinton was actually on the phone with a Senator discussing our nation's business while Monica was sucking him off. I wish we had more like Bill Clinton, seriously.

So it shows he either (A) was too arrogant to think he'd ever get caught or (B) didn't give two ****s about it.

If a mathematician beats his wife, does that make his math work invalid? A president's job is not defined by being sexually faithful to his wife.

No, but it shows you something about them as a person.

If President Clinton was doing a good job as president--I think he was--then his sex life has no relevance to me at all.

And whether he did a good job or not depends on your opinion. Point is, he's clearly not a good guy.

You are getting off track here a bit. We were talking about Hillary and I was making a point that its a pretty well established history of lying. Bill not so much an issue now. of course being first husband if she is elected would afford him some opportunity to be relevant again I guess.
If you want to have a conversation about Bush and the war in Iraq we can do that , prob should be in a separate thread though yea?

How does a distraction indicate the existence of plutocracy? Nevertheless, I don't think you will be hearing much about the emails in the future. Instead you will be hearing about Clinton's lies.

A politician who lies!? My word!

Not to say it is not an issue, but mostly a distraction so we don't realize our democracy has become a plutocracy.

Well, the Republican's realized 7-8 years ago they were going to be facing off against Mrs. Clinton in 2016 and they weren't likely to win. Hence in what can only be described as utter desperation they overplayed Benghazi and now this to try and steal an election they can not win.

Some Bernie supporters jumped on the email bandwagon too and for the same reason.

It should have been obvious months ago to any rational, objective person just with the publicly available information that there was never going to be anything worth an indictment. Sec. Clinton's actions were stupid, not done with criminal intent. The best a prosecutor could have maybe hoped for was a fine.

Because dead horses just can't be flogged enough we find the FBI director - originally a Republican appointee and still extremely highly regarded (until 2 days ago) by Republicans for his honesty and integrity - being accused of partisan pandering to Clinton. This naturally means we need an objective, independent investigation of the investigation,.. to be led by a Republican Senate committee that can reach the conclusion they need.

no but a potential president lying about having mishandled top secret documents with gross negligence sure as hell speaks to her competency/fitness for the job.

it IS one of the issues. a big one, actually.

Guess it's not so trivial since the State Dept is reopening the investigation.

Nice. Must look bizarre from the air.
I wonder what, if anything, was ever done about all those DEW Line stations? D'ya think they might still be operating? That'd be a hoot!

They may have been part of the DEW line thing. I know there are still remnants as I saw a documentary where some Inuit were using one as a stay over lodge while hunting Caribou.

State was always going to re-open their investigation once the FBI got done with theirs, but it isn't a criminal investigation. It is to determine if State Department rules and regulations were violated.

Well, it's nice to know they finally came in handy for something.
