Obama Is OK With Breaking The Law

Where did that come from? If you listened to what he said, there is nothing he can do. A tie is not a win. Duh!
Didn't say he won. Duh! Where did that come from? I said that he said he was going to continue unenforcing immigration laws in spite of the Supreme Court's decision upholding the lower court's decision.

Is there some kind of announcement or action taken that you base this on that you maybe want to fill us all in on?

Watched him say it on the news a few days ago but can't find any links now. Of course it's not exactly classified information that he has given the DOJ leeway in not vigorously prosecuing certain crimes such as immigration and marijuana laws.

Say what?

That the DOJ has finite resources and therefore has to do some prioritizing? Do you disagree?

The left hypocrisy is amazing. They rant and rave and thumb their noses at the right whenever they win a Supreme Court decision but now that the Court has decided with a 4-4 decision to let a lower court ruling stand in regards to Immigration, all of a sudden Obama has decided that he is not going to obey the court's decision.

I agree - I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to Pardon every thug in prison before he leaves that he feels has been betrayed by the system. The people who have killed, raped, robbed, and injured Americans who have been unjustly imprisoned because of the color of their skin or their religious beliefs. Forget that a jury tried and convicted them - Obama is all knowing.

Oh please. Are you saying that the "prioritizing" isn't political? I've got some oceanfront property in Iowa for sale if you are interested.

Which law is Obama supposedly breaking this time? OP seems to have forgotten to mention that.

The OP offers a hypothetical of sorts. As I read it, he means that IF Barack does disregard the court's ruling, which is that his plan to possibly circumvent immigration procedures does not meet constitutional muster, THEN he would be in violation of the law.

As to which law Barack has already broken as POTUS, the list might be shorter showing which laws he has upheld.

By voting for FISA II, Senator Obama demonstrated his disregard for the Fourth Amendment by allowing those telecoms who did Bush's dirty work for him in violating the original FISA to be exempted from any liability. By signing on to all extensions of the USA Patriot Act he did the same.

By fighting for indefinite detention, he violates the spirit and letter of Habeas Corpus.

The DOJ would rather go after murderers and rapists than the guy growing weed in his back yard. News at 11.

He did not say that

Still, you can't tell me that the whole thing is not political. Holder was about as partisan as you can get.

The whole thing? Every DOJ decision is political, eh?

You think going after murderers and rapists before Jimmy and his pot plants is a political decision?

Investigating an illegal immigrant who does landscaping and raises his family and is trying to send his children to college so they can become productive citizens... same priority as a drug cartel enforcer, hmm? I mean, we wouldn't want to be political.

I know, I know. You think all laws should be enforced. What a maverick, you are, with this idea you have that nobody else agrees with. You insightful man you. Now, while we live in this fantasy world where the police have unlimited resources and the prosecutors have unlimited resources and the courts have unlimited resources, can we also end world hunger and give everyone on the planet free unlimited energy?

Or maybe, in the world we all actually live in, some choices have to be made about how our criminal justice system's resources are spent, and these decisions are sometimes pretty obvious.

You didn't finish your post. How is he not going to obey the court's decision?

Really? What have Obama's instructions been?

Apparently, his instructions have been completely absent or have been to obstruct, delay, take the fifth and look the other way.

If he has given no instructions and is even the slightest bit in touch with reality, then we may assume that his continued lack of instructions is his implied approval of the activities. In that case, we should all be a little concerned.

If his instructions are to do exactly what his team has been doing, we should all be a little concerned.

Either way, we are assured that he is endorsing the illegalities of the Executive Branch.

Whether it's the IRS suspending the First Amendment rights of individuals or the DoJ intimidating private sector companies with the threat of prosecution for purely political reasons, this administration is not at all concerned with legality or even investigation.

Why worry about any investigation when you control all of the enforcement agencies? It ain't a penalty if they don't blow the whistle.

Really? What makes that apparent?

Nah. In the absence of any evidence, that's simply magical thinking. No thanks.

You should have noticed.

Both of these were covered by all of the cable news services and those in Britain as well.

I certainly noticed them not happening.

Well, since you seem to be living in a cave, here are a couple links to help you out. These are the very first ones that come up when you do a Google Search for these topics. Not too well hidden.

It's hard to understand how you could have missed them.

Both return 100's of 1000's of links.
