Apple Dumps GOP

It makes little sense for a business to proclaim its politics publicly. It is simply bad for business. There is nothing at all beneficial to it for the company. The CEO can have whatever political positions he wishes but it is an error to connect his company to them. Management mistake.

Apple did not comment on this, at all. The source looks to be someone within the RNC.

Um, yeah....that's gunna happen....sure it is....

Don't get me wrong, a downturn in earnings is probably going to happen anyway. They've lost a patent fight with the Chinese, their software update is bricking iPads, and the iPhone line is retrogressing. Under Tim Cook, Apple has gone from an extraordinary company to an ordinary one. My guess is he realizes that, and is doubling down on the social-justice stuff as a distraction.

And how does that make things different? Obviously Apple wouldn't bring it up. It would compound the error.
