Maybe. From what I read there wasn't really much evidence of that other than a couple people saying he was. And his ex-wife or whoever she is comes across as not so credible.

I think that's a culture thing and not a religion thing. It's because she married against her family's wishes...not a religious or tribal leader's wishes.

Girls all over the world in different cultures are treated like chattel, regardless of religion.

Your evidence is basically this:

Visiting a gay bar.
Logging in to a gay dating site.
His ex-wife claims he was gay.

None of these are very sound arguments to base orientation on.

Going to a certain site doesn't mean you're part of the target audience, going to a gay bar doesn't mean you're gay, and ex-wives/husbands are known for make up **** about their past spouse.

For all we know he could have been gay, but then he could have been straight, bisexual, or asexual too.

True, but it seems likely that, since he visited gay bars and such, and hated gays so much, he couldn't come to grips with his sexual orientation and turned instead to self loathing.

Why do you think it's so all fired important that he was a Dem (if he was), but not that he was gay? The other members of the club saw him there repeatedly. Of course I don't have pictures of him there, why would I?

He didn't shoot up the nightclub because he was a Democrat. He shot up the nightclub because he disliked gays. The most likely reason for that is that he is himself gay and can't come to grips with that fact.

You forgot the part where the religion that he was a part of fed into his mind that gays were evil and disgusting people. So even if he was gay, it was his religion that impressed upon his mind that he had problems.

No I don't. But usually the left is the first to blame Republicans when someone kills people like this, or when someone like Dylan Roof comes along. So I think people are just doing the same thing here.

Unfortunately other religions do that too. The only difference is that those religions do not typically condone killing gays. His does. And, in his twisted mind, he was doing Allah a favor.
