Orlando Shooters Father Supports the Taliban

Have the Democrats repealed any of that?

Every right was fought for by Left wingers?...ummm...LMAO!

The sad part, is that you people really believe that.

When did you last see any government give up power?
And I said liberal, not left-wing. It's not synonymous. There's lots of left-wing crap that I, as a liberal, deplore.

Thanks!!

Expulsions of people who are settled and working in the United States have fallen steadily since his first year in office, and are down more than 40% since 2009.

On the other side of the ledger, the number of people deported at or near the border has gone up — primarily as a result of changing who gets counted in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency's deportation statistics.

The vast majority of those border crossers would not have been treated as formal deportations under most previous administrations. If all removals were tallied, the total sent back to Mexico each year would have been far higher under those previous administrations than it is now.

The shift in who gets tallied helped the administration look tough in its early years but now may be backfiring politically. Immigration advocates plan protests across the country this week around what they say will be the 2 millionth deportation under Obama — a mark expected to be hit in the next few days. And Democratic strategists fret about a decline in Latino voter turnout for this fall's election.

Until recent years, most people caught illegally crossing the southern border were simply bused back into Mexico in what officials called "voluntary returns," but which critics derisively termed "catch and release." Those removals, which during the 1990s reached more 1 million a year, were not counted in Immigration and Customs Enforcement's deportation statistics.

Now, the vast majority of border crossers who are apprehended get fingerprinted and formally deported. The change began during the George W. Bush administration and accelerated under Obama. The policy stemmed in part from a desire to ensure that people who had crossed into the country illegally would have formal charges on their records.

So the applause for Pres. Obama's immigration policy is driven by the continuation of a policy started under Pres. Bush. Doesn't that mean that Pres. Bush gets credit for it?? After all, we've been hearing for years that the bad economy hass all been Pres. Bush's fault and if your going to dump all the negative on him, then it stands to reason that you dump all the positive as well.

You're selling yourself as a Classical Liberal, who believes in limited government?

You're selling yourself as a Classical Liberal, who believes in limited government?

Everyone in the English-speaking world knows what I mean when I say I'm liberal, everyone except American conservatives. And a handful of American leftists who don't know what words mean either.
And you still owe thanks to liberals for all your rights and freedoms. Everyone does, the latest group being American gays.

News flash: that isn't true. The group we supported, led by Ahmed Shah Made out fought against the Taliban after the Soviet-Afghan war. Massoud's forces fell apart after Massoud was assassinated by the Taliban.

News flash: "We" supported just about everyone who fought against the Soviets and their proxies. Including the Taliban.

You're selling yourself as a Classical Liberal, who believes in limited government?

Which is pretty much the only kind of liberal I can tolerate. Anyway, if a classical liberal got into a debate with one of these democratic socialist lite liberals that are running around today they would agree on very little.

Yeahbut, more illegals have been deported on Obama's watch than ever before. Why's that?

You need to dig a little deeper instead of just accepting that as fact. It's a bit of deception on the part of the Obama administration to make you think that is the case.

Where are people voting illegally? Please be very specific.

Is that some kind of a joke? Democrats want to give ID's, Licenses, etc... to illegals. BUT, no voter ID, they want anyone to be able to walk up and vote with no proof at all that they are a citizen. Do the freakin' math.

Yeahbut, more illegals have been deported on Obama's watch than ever before. Why's that?

Because there are more illegals than ever before.

If you deport 100 out of 1,000, that's not as many deportations as 110 out of 100,000.

Obama can deport a couple more, but let in 10 times more.

So, IOW, it's made up bull**** that isn't happening.

Thanks for clearly that up.

Well, that went right over your head. Like talking to a wall. Thanks for your zero participation in the discussion. You get an answer you don't like, so you claim it's all made up, LOL.

LOL! So you can't back up the claim that I was responding to, and now you're pouting. "As long as 51% or more of the people entering the country illegally vote Democrat" and yet you haven't cited any proof that's happening.

Nothing new there.

Do the math, Sport.

I think you guys got to take a look at what's causing the problem, why those illegals keep coming, and toss a few hotel owners and golf course owners and farm owners into jail for employing them. Nothing will be done about the problem as long as rich, powerful people make big bucks off of cheap labour. All that other stuff- deporting, border surveillance, talking about walls, all that stuff is just smoke being blown up your ass as long as money is being made off the status quo. It's not about the Democratic Party recruiting voters, it's about money.

So anyway, back to the OP. Mateen's father is a Muslim who thinks homosexuality is a nasty sin and gays should be punished. Okay. And?

Well if you use the ENTIRE quote Seddique firmly believes only God can punish gay folks and he would have arrested his son himself if he had any clue his boy was going to murder gay people. The article claims Seddique has a 'pro-taliban' lean but offers no proof so there's that...

Fact is Seddique has lead a peaceful, virtually unknown life in this country for YEARS. Far from radicalized by any reasonable yard stick.

Has he called for jihad? Has he called any President a foreign devil? demanded the end of American support of Afghanistan or demands the end of the corrupt princes on the Saudi Penn???

Nope... but some will always see an enemy in anyone not like us (whatever us is in their fear mongering minds)... :peace

Thing is, we don't know any of that. Yes, he's been quiet, but then that's how you fly below the radar. Could be he downloaded all that to his son.

You think radical Muslims, among the most conservative people in the world, will be Democratic voters?
Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, are conservative utopias. I doubt there's many prospective Democrats there.

Or republicans.

They would be Sharia.

Yeahbut, more illegals have been deported on Obama's watch than ever before. Why's that?

That's a bit misleading. You have deportations and you have border apprehensions where they are caught trying to get in at the border and just turned back. DHS has been muddy about this and has been reporting both of these circumstances as deportations where previously this was not. I'm not saying there hasn't been a lot, but its not what it is presented to be either.

He's also a total lunatic. Like I said earlier, he's not an example of anything except maybe severe mental illness.
I hear that ISIS has claimed responsibility, so I may have to change my take, if it turns out true.

Fair enough.

I doubt ISIS had anything to do with this. They are doing what Al Qaeda did after 9/11: claimed responsibility for everrrryyyything.

I bet ISIS had no clue of this.

They will buddy up to the party who lets them in and gives them entitlements. its the same with Hispanic immigrants, they are typically on the conservative side too being predominantly catholic and pro family. it is what it is.
