The really interesting thing is why is it that it looks like Trump continually has shown the ability to get the other debt holders to follow him, and sometimes prop him up because he is out of liquidity. This guy must be quite the talker.

Oh and there's Showboat, which went belly up in Atlantic City a couple of years ago. Then there's always Revel, which cost $2.4 billion to build and closed its doors 3 years later after it went bankrupt.

Hillary also needs to do her research on Atlantic City, and the number of casino failures there over the last 30 years. Once upon a time it was the only major place east of Las Vegas where you could gamble. Then every state except NH got licenses, they all built big huge new gigantic casinos, Atlantic City returned to the ghetto it was before the casinos were built, and everyone now goes to the fancy new casinos in PA and DE.

What a pathetic effort on her part. There are tons of things to go after Trump for. If she had any brains, which she clearly doesn't, she'd go after them. This isn't one of them.

Oh please, he got into a business just as it was collapsing, a business that Washington had been promoting big time because Shrub had made it one of his pet projects ("We need to get everyone we can into home ownership, it is the American dream, ownership makes people both rich and better citizens. LET'S DO IT!"Paraphrase)when only about 5 guys understood that the business was collapsing....this lack if general awareness being one of the bigger stories of the decade...and you want to jam Trump up for that, that he was not one of the 5 guys??!!

You do know what a Chapter 11 bankruptcy is, right? It's a court structured repayment plan to allow the business to keep doing business while it repays it's debts.

Indeed. Hillary should ask Morgan Stanley. They owned Revel in Atlantic City. Perhaps an investment bank is something with which she is more familiar.

Or, you can do like the Clintons did, and set up a defense fund paid for by others. Or, you can set up a charitable foundation that accepts money from others and delivers 10% of the donations to good causes and the other 90% to not so good causes. Hillary knows all about those things.

Agreed. That's actually a bad business decision. That's a legitimate criticism. Harking and whining about Casinos in Atlantic City going bankrupt is a stupid thread for attacks.

And look how well Revel worked out.

For anyone reading along, Donald Trump had no interest in, no ownership of, and nothing to do with Revel. And it failed. Abysmally. Like many other casinos in Atlantic City.

also from what I understand they weren't Trump casino's he only licensed his name to be used on the buildings.
he didn't own the personally or had sold them off at one point.

shows how much Hillary knows about the situation which is nothing. which pretty much sums up her knowledge on everything else.

since trump hasn't owned the casino since 2005 that would be hard for him to bankrupt again wouldn't it?
it kept his name as far as licensing goes but he didn't own or manage them either.

the Taj Mahal is owned and operated by Carl Ichan.
the other 2 hotels were the same way.

Trump licensing but owned and operated by different people.
I guess recently trump took them back over.

However it isn't just those casino's having issues. all the casino's in Atlantic city are having issues.
why? it is a hole in the ground and with flights for 100 bucks to vegas why not go to vegas instead.

so please tell us what business has Hillary Clinton ever started and ran successfully?
they had a law firm that they ran into the ground and was so corrupt got bill disbarred.
so why aren't you posting about that?
