Which Child's Restroom Discomfort-Disadvantage Wins/Loses? [W:37]

Freedom of privacy from only one gender of person? And we have this thing called doors. They work well to give people privacy in the restrooms.

You segregate your restrooms at home to guys and gals? That's odd from my experience. We use whichever is closest and unoccupied.

What gender would that be? Tranny?

He said 'shared' as in more then one occupant.

Sexualization happens when you teach kids that nakedness is equivalent to sex or some sort of sexual meaning.

Human nature does that quite well on it's own.

How much skin you show is a matter of decency and modesty.

You are the one making the comment that people should have this freedom to privacy in a public restroom but apparently that only applies to freedom of privacy in relation to the opposite sex apparently since those of the same sex would still be allowed in the restrooms.

What restroom forces people to have more than one occupant per stall?

No. Modesty is taught not innate. That is why children will run around naked with no shame until an adult teaches them that running around naked is "wrong".

I have two solutions; 1) use your own toilet until you get sex change operation then you can use the other. 2) Boys who want to be girls have to use their own restroom and girls who want to be boys can use the other (but they can't go back and forth.)

How many parents do you think actually tell their children running around naked is wrong? lol

Eh? This was started by the Republicans for **** sake.

Some places sure, others no. It is not a problem in Denmark..

How did the Republicans start this? Republicans were just fine with things the way they were.

Why do you need a daughter to feel a certain way?

In fairness, at least when it comes to parenthood the perspective and feelings involved are very real and powerful - about as real and powerful as anything gets, really - and so are worthy of a lot more respect than similar would-be trump cards ("Have you ever run a business?" "Are you black?" "Did you serve in the military?" "Have you even been to Palestine?").

Of course there's the possibility that if I'd said I did have daughters, instead of granting equal validity to my opinions my parenting might then have been called into question  But I think it's best to give people the benefit of the doubt.

I have sons. But that doesn't mean I have no experience with girls. I've been one for a long time. Sometimes perspective of a parent can be more emotional than it should be.

A lot of male bathrooms have no stall just a toilet and a urinal.

Anyone can view anyone else's nakedness as sexual. That has nothing to do with gender.

We know that people will use this ruling as an excuse to be in female bath and dressing rooms because no one will call them on it for fear of being maligned.

That is not the case for any women's restrooms (except maybe seedy bars where no kids should be), nor most men's restrooms I've been in (what places do you frequent that have such bad restroom conditions?).

As it should be.

I disagree. It's one thing to teach kids that they can't do something, such as be naked in public, quite another to teach them it is morally wrong or sexual to be naked. Unfortunately not a lot of parents are good at teaching the difference between these things.

Has nothing to do with what I posted.

Guess your children never asked "why"

Guess your children never asked "why"

They didn't need to since I explained it to them. Something doesn't really have to be "wrong" to be socially taboo or even illegal, just viewed as wrong by enough people. Clothes serve plenty of purposes (one major one ring protection). So then wearing clothes is good but they shouldn't view not wearing clothing as bad. Since they are too young to go out past our house on their own, it's really not likely they will have to ask about some adult they don't know being naked towards them. And they know about inappropriate touch and words and what they need to quickly tell an adult they know about.

Anyone can make up a bogus gender for themselves.

So? They still can't do anything.

It is far more likely that a person will mistaken a person who is really of that gender for the opposite sex than anything else. I've seen it happened, even did it myself a couple of times.

Here is your problem... that the parents live in a ****ed up fantasy world where their little girls are small angels that are pure and all that bible bull**** that has been indoctrinated over the last many centuries. It is the same world, where most Americans think that sex is bad, and showing a breast is the end of the world, but showing a bleeding corpse or people being shot is just normal.

You are a clown. And I really do not care if I get a warning or time out for saying so.

Incorrect. Liberals and transsexuals were just fine with the way things were. It was Republicans who started bringing up all the laws concerned about what bathroom transsexuals use.
