At this junction there is a real possibility that Hillary Clinton could get elected President.

What would we see under her Presidency?

As a short list, I would expect the following...

1). An exponential empowerment of Wall Street and the Uber wealthy
2). Strangulation of small business
3). Significant growth in the size of Federal government
4). Significant increases in taxation
5). Expansion of Gay & Lesbian rights (to far exceed the majority)
6). The Supreme court to become completely far left liberal
7). War with China & Russia (since they could exploit her inability/unwillingness to make proper international and domestic decisions)
8). An explosion in government corruption
9). Expansion of welfare from the current astronomical levels to nation crippling levels
10). The National debt to rise 10 trillion above current levels
11). Trillions of taxpayer funds to disappear in corrupt expenditures
12). Her personal wealth to reach 1 billion dollars US
13). An unprecedented lack of government transparency
14). An unusual rise in the mysterious deaths of political and corporate foes.
15). An unprecedented attack on the 2nd Amendment and the nations first confiscations of personal arms.

Of course, the slim chance exists that I could be biased so please say why we can expect otherwise or what you would expect to occur should Hillary become our next President.

12). Her personal wealth to reach 1 billion dollars US
13). An unprecedented lack of government transparency
14). An unusual rise in the mysterious deaths of political and corporate foes.
15). An unprecedented attack on the 2nd Amendment and the nations first widespread confiscations of personal arms and or laws forcing forfeitures
16). Massive gains in foreign interests in infrastructure, corporate ownership and rights to natural resources
17). Expansion of Sanctuary cities
18). The nations first government protected Sharia Law towns and districts
19). Religious persecution - limited to Christians
20). Expanded immigration - to reach 15 million new immigrants from the Middle East and South America within 4 years

Of course, it's unlikely, but the slim chance exists that I could be biased so please say why we can expect otherwise or what you would expect to occur should Hillary become our next President.

with a Republican congress, the only thing that the two sides will agree on is expanding the wars. she'll probably get a moderate appointed to the SCOTUS, and the rest will be limited to executive orders. i don't see congress changing hands in the next cycle with her at the top of the ticket.

lol wut....

You mind explaining the logic behind these? When has any American politician anywhere suggested any of these things happen and when has Hillary implied she'd do any of these?

I'd never vote for a scumbag like Clinton, but this is paranoid nonsense.

Re: Suppose Hillary becomes President..specifically what are the implications?

Sorry, but if she weasels her way out of another investigation she is a lock for president. She is an exemplary party puppet, professional liar, and would be the first women to be elected president. Qualifications and whether she would become the great leader this country so desperately needs is irrelevant.

I have to agree. We all saw how well she worked with others as Secretary of State. My real fear is her having control of our nuclear arsenal when she can't tell the difference between people waving and cheering and someone shooting at her. God help us.

Clinton would the be the continuation of Orwellian citizen slavery..

Re: Suppose Hillary becomes President..specifically what are the implications?

There is no way to know what will happen because nothing she says can be believed, because she doesn't even believe it. She's gone hard left to counter Bernie, and will swerve to the center when he gone. She's loving Obama's programs because he is the only thing between an indictment and "her turn" to be president.

So in short, there is no track record of Hillary that shows anything but incompetence at State, contempt for the law in personal dealings, and a total disconnect with the truth.

She is the ultimate wild card.

Others have already given you the right answer, it would also come down to the disposition of the next 115th and 116th Congresses (at a minimum) which by extension also means whatever happens with the Supreme Court.

Hillary may have dozens of initiatives if she should become, and there could be dozens of other consequences if she becomes, President. Should Congress remain Republican then odds are the list of activity just became very short. It would take a Democratic Congress just to push through additional economic and social policy. Perhaps the 116th might be, but the 115th looks like it should remain Republican.

It is going to suck if the Supreme Court stays 4-4 well into Clinton's first term.

I think Hillary would do alright. Her policies aren't horrific... if one can trust what they are due to rather large shifts in her policies over the years. I just hope if she gets the seat, her politics won't be like Bill's. All that bullcrap "triangulation" garbage. That crap is just code for "I'll frequently betray my base (because they won't go anywhere) so the other side likes me more." I can't stand that kind of wormy, untrustworthy politics.

As far as what I'm worried about policy-wise... well, I don't know where she really will land with fossil fuel industry, free trade and how/if she will do anything to reign in wall street's shady practices that have a stranglehold on our government and our economy. Social policy, she's going to be on the correct side IMO. I think not much will change from what it is right now. Especially with regards to income inequality issues.

I worry about her seemingly aristocratic attitude about herself and governance, and I suspect it would speak to a division, secrecy, and vilification of all opposition attitude from her administration that would be ten times worse than that of Obama's.

I do not trust her, nor do I think she has much legitimate interest in those who would support her anyway.

While it does in part depend who republicans finally nominate, but the republicans are going to lose some senate seats. Further, Clinton has no real reason to nominate a moderate for SCOTUS. She would likely get whoever she chose through the nomination process as long as the pick is not ridiculous, even with republicans hanging on to a slim majority in the senate. If democrats can gain 4 seats, Democrats would effectively gain control of the senate, and that is maybe a 50/50 proposition as worst to happen.

I expect her to pick up right where Obama leaves off. So basically, more of the same we've seen the past 8 years. Personally, I am fine with that. It beats Bernie, Trump, and Cruz.

Yeah, I'm not as worried about her policies as I am her politics. When I think of clinton politics I think of petty revenge politics within the party. Bill kind of let that side show in her last prez election when he threatened James Clyburn when he said "If you bastards want a fight, you damn well will get one,” after Hillary lost his state of SC in bad fashion.

If she does get elected It’s a big middle finger to anyone hoping for real change, right or left with government. It will also show there is no real justice in this country for those connected, the bigger political hack you are the more you can get away with. In a just world she would be behind bars at this point, not just for the email issue but for the Clinton foundation which is a much larger tragedy of justice in my opinion.

The Clinton foundation is so blatantly criminal and it borders on treasonous behavior. All in Washington know this, this is not a conspiracy theory. If there is such a thing that is to big to fail , or to politically dangerous to fail It would be that foundation and It’s donors.

Personally, I’m mystified why anyone would support or vote for this awful person. From the way she demonized the many victims of the sexual predator husband to the way she treated the families of the Benghazi attack It’s obvious to any clear thinking person she is a soul-less empty vessel of a person. I do understand that not all out there know of this woman’s deeds dating back decade’s but this is a political forum, If you support this awful person you excuse what she really is and are making a crossroads deal with the devil that we are all contracted for.

Comparatively, Trump is the Dalai Lama and Cruz one of the decibels of Jesus compared with this bitch. What saddens me is that these three with one old Vermont socialist in tow is the best this country can come up with. With those mentioned I’m afraid it will be Bye, Bye American Pie, with certainly It will be with Clinton.

Are you suggesting past behavior and actions are not a strong predictor? I see nothing that out of line with the OP list. In fact, I found it rather mild in nature with the exception of #14. All of the list is happening now with few deletions so crystal ball not needed.

Re: Suppose Hillary becomes President..specifically what are the implications?

It'll be business as usual. Disheartening but not disastrous.

A talking head recently speculated that she could nominate Trump as her VP (don't remember which one). If that is the case, a Trump v Clinton general will literally mean that neither choice is the lesser of two evils this go around, and that it'll be pretty much the same should both of these psychopaths clinch their respective parties' nominations.

which four seats are they going to gain this cycle? i haven't read anything that says this scenario is likely. as it stands, she has almost no chance of filling Scalia's seat with a liberal.

From our own blog section, the as usual excellent work of Perotista: http://www.debatepolitics.com/blogs/perotista/1235-perotista-s-2016-senate-house-and-presidential-forecast-march-2016-a.html

It will likely end up somewhere between 48 and 52 democrats in the senate.

If Clinton wins, a liberal will take Scalia's seat, unless senate republicans blink and confirm Obama's choice.

sadly, the alternative is probably going to be Trump, who completely lacks the temperament for the office.
