CNN's Anderson Cooper tells Donald Trump he argues like a 5-year-old

CNN host Anderson Cooper scolded Donald Trump on Tuesday after the Republican presidential candidate tried to pass the blame for his attacks on Sen. Ted Cruz’s wife.
“After saying you were going to spill the beans about Heidi Cruz, you retweeted an unflattering picture of her next to a picture of your wife,” Cooper said in reference to Trump spreading an unflattering picture of Heidi Cruz online set side-by-side with one depicting Melania Trump more favorably.

“I thought it was a nice picture of Heidi. I thought it was fine,” Trump replied, prompting Cooper to say, “Come on.”
“I thought it was fine,” Trump insisted. “She’s a pretty woman.”
“You’re running for president of the United States,” Cooper said. ………………

“Excuse me. I didn’t start it,” Trump said.
“Sir, with all due respect, that’s the argument of a 5-year-old,” Cooper shot back. “The argument of a 5-year-old is he started it.”………….

Trump tried to argue that Cooper’s viewpoint was “the problem with our country,” but Cooper cut him off.

“Every parent knows a kid who says, ‘He started it,'” the host said…………………..”

Actually, retaliation from a smart five year old would involve said five year old retaliating against the person who did him wrong. Since neither Heidi Cruz nor her husband said anything bad about Mrs. Trump, and had nothing to do with the nude pictures, he really didn't act like a five year old. He acted like an idiot.

Looking at Coopers face and body language as he made the comment "thats the argument of a 5 year old..." pretty obvious it was meant as denigrating and disrespectful. So...was that because Trump started it?

He was insulting Trump...doing the exact same thing Trump did.

What happens on this site when people use similarly disparaging comments about another poster?

Cooper was outTrumping Trump. That you lack the basic honesty to admit that is very telling. It doesnt excuse Trumps actions (and I have called out Trumps actions numerous times).

Cooper owned him, and said what the majority of normal people think.

Not butthurt at all. You keep missing the part where I have been critical of Trumps actions AS WELL as Cruz's actions. I'm simply pointing out that a petulant child insulting another person doesnt leave the petulant child much by way of high ground.

But I'm sorry for pointing out the truth about your special friend.

He's not supposed to truthfully point out that "he started it" is childish, because pointing out that someone is being childish is "denigrating and disrespectful"?

Your knee-jerk defense of the Trumpster would mean that nobody can say anything negative about Trump, no matter how true it is, without becoming Trump. And that is laughable (I'm being charitable).
