Exorcist warns vampire ritual killings ‘on the rise’ after spate of Satanic initiation murders.

Police have warned that a number of recent murders could be the result of satanic ritual killings in which the victim hopes to be reborn as a vampire .

The murder of a 24-year-old man has led cops to believe he was the victim of a vampire cult killing.

Edwin Juarez Palma was allegedly strangled, beaten and cut with a broken bottle at the cyber cafe in the northern city of Chihuahua, Mexico.

He had his hands tied up and was beaten and attacked with glass bottles before his death , designed to 'transform him into a vampire'.

This comes as a leading exorcist warned these type of killings are on the rise in non-Christian countries.

Huh? Doesn't a culture have to be basically Christian for some of the people to even believe in Satanism or Vampires?

There's a strong whiff of BS here, but I really appreciate the Darwinism of it.

As a culture becomes more "diverse", things like VooDoo rituals, sacrifices and all kinds of things that a culture / society normally shuns will occur.

Mexico is largely Catholic. There are some interesting hybrid beliefs involving both Catholicism and voodoo and/or witchcraft. It's really interesting stuff. This doesn't sound like a ritual killing though. Could just be more cartel violence.

There was a ritual killing like that in my current town of Bakersfield once upon a time. I guess "morbidly interesting" is ok to describe it but still pretty sad. Thank God this **** mostly only happens in Africa and Asia.

At one point I probably would have advocated for the cast of Twilight to do this ritual. God that was a horrible show.

This sounds like a rather crude interpretation of Santeria by the police, which is to be expected because they like to sensationalize everything.
