National Review endorses Ted Cruz

He wasnt part until hes their only choice left other than trump. Cruz is very much establishment hes got the Koch Bros backing. This is all about hating on trump and wanting him defeated
It seems the GOP isn't at fault, here. It's big monied endorsers.

Not many consider rubio conservative many consider him a phony

Then they are uninformed. Rubio is, depending on how you score, the 4th or 5th most conservative member of the Senate. He has a 94 lifetime rating from Heritage, and a 98 from the American conservative union. He has a perfect rating from the NRA, and a zero rating from NARAL. If Rubio is not a conservative, then that term has ceased to have any meaning.

I am a moderate independent who leans right of late. I have no party affiliation and reserve the right to vote for who I think is the best person is without partisan baggage.

Everyone reserves that right. That's why, for example, I will not tick the GOP box for POTUS this year if it is Trump.

Then all your posts are about is hating Cruz and wanting him defeated...

Good day.

Nah thats just the way you want to percieve them and that means exactly nothing

Rubio is a moot issue hes not winning anything and does the heritage foundation take in all the votes hes skipped which is many.

You and I and everyone else gets to vote who they want to and not to vote for who they dont.

Rubio isn't moot, he has, what, 175 delegates? 99 more of her wind Florida (low chance, buy plausible). Who he supports will very much matter.

As for Heritage, he's been a Senator for six years. He has far more than enough to score.

If the polls are right and its always a big if trump is way ahead. Like anything else that can change.

Sorta. If the polls are right, Trump is toast. Hillary is beating him 51 to 38. If it comes down to Trump v Cruz, Trump performs only slightly better, and still loses. If everyone stays in the race after the 15th, Trump has a built in advantage of a minority that isn't split, while the majority against him is.

I dont know where you have been reading but maybe you need to diversify your sources, most have trump slightly behind hillary and cruz hugely behind hillary.

Cruz has no chance whatsoever of beating hillary. What all you just dont get is that its middleclass workers and union workers that are mostly driving trumps success. That group of white middleclass feel abandoned by both parties. Obama has done NOTHING for the middleclass worker. The GOP including cruz worries more about ending social security and cutting unemployment benefits than they do the outsourcing that has murdered the country.

Thats why trump is successful so far hes the only one talking to the working class and telling them something they want to hear.

At this point, it's too late. Too much momentum in the clowns corner, the idiocrization of America is accelerating.

Do you think that Trump's ascendancy is purely the actions and reactions of Conservatives and Republicans?

Do you believe that the Progressives would not try to arrange an opponent they know is someone flawed enough that they can beat him?

Progressive-Fascists may have the power-greed of Stalin, the morals of Nero, the Corruption of George Soros, and the insanity of Rev. Moon....

They also have the Propaganda and Political acumen of Joseph Goebbels.

The Progressive-Fascists are driven, skilled, ruthless and winning!

I hate to say it cpwill, but Rubio ain't winning this thing at this point.

And even if by some miracle he could pull off the nomination, the party fractures anyway cause Trump lost, either upset conservatives don't vote or trump runs 3rd party, he loses.

Republicans have lost this election before it even began with this nonsense.

If Cruz wins the nomination... He loses too because he's just too socially conservative.

Look, Captain, Cruz polls very well against Hillary in head to head matchups. ;)

For now.

Once the general is in full swing don't count on that lasting.

Cruz would suffer major demographic issues.

I'm willing to take that chance.

I take it you're a DS9 fan? Not many of us around.

I concur on Rubio. :( His window has closed.

I do not concur on Cruz. Currently he is (barely) beating Hillary, whose negatives in this campaign are outpaced only by the orange Fascist trust fund baby. That contest could reasonably go either way, but I think there is a slight advantage to Cruz.

My opinion is that if cruz wins the primary he loses the general because the independents for trump will not vote cruz. Many of trumps independents lean left, they are strongly for trump because trump is the "ONLY" candidate that talks about passing laws that force jobs back to america and closing the border. Once trump is out of the picture and they have to choose between cruz and hillary they will flip to hillary in a flash. Of course thats just my opinion
