The Obama Doctrine: How He's Shaped The World

Long in-depth Obama interview with Jeffrey Goldberg that will be featured in the April 2016 issue of The Atlantic. The U.S. president talks through his hardest decisions about America’s role in the world.

I am not even a casual fan of Barack Obama and I think his eight years at the helm have been a disaster. Nevertheless, an interesting read.

I think he's been lovely and the vast majority of the 1st world agrees except Americans.

Obama's approval rating is up to 50% now. George Bush only had a 34% approval rating when he left office. I would think that as long our our economy stays strong for the next six months, Obama will leave office with a majority approval rating.

It's really only extreme conservatives and tea party types an racists who hate him, and thats only 30% or so of our population at the most. They just happen to be the most outspoken portion of our population so they tend to drown out everyone who is cheering or neutral to Obama.

Personally, Im pretty neutral towards him. Not our best president, not our worst. He's a great speaker, a poor leader within our (embattled) government, but I suspect that history will record him as a positive leader world wide.

If I had to make a prediction of how he gets ranked by political historians, he will probably end up somewhere in the top 15.

I think GWB would get ranked number 38, only one behind Ronald Reagan at 37 who is 30 behind Bill Clinton at 7.

thank you
that was the most incisive article about Obama's foreign policy inclinations i have ever read
the guy is very thoughtful and DEEP
and quite nuanced

confirmed my fears about kerry's and clinton's inclinations toward stupidity
