Republicans Threatening SCOTUS Nominees

They just need to replace the Republican Party with the Libertarian Party already.

Libertarian-Rights are already GOPs--many are just a bit shy to admit it. GOPs have been running from their brand in public since before 2006. It's common-place on this forum for posters to bash both parties and act like they are above the fray. They seem to forget their previous votes--for me back to McGovern in 1972 .

I agree with you that most LR's probably are merely Republicans-Lite. The Republicans have been very crafty in infiltrating Libertarian framework. Hell, I'd be considered a Libertarian-Centrist in most parts of Europe, as opposed to Left-Leaning like here in the States.

You Sanders voters remind me of myself in 1972 for McGovern. I was a freshman in college--1H for 7 years in the draft and no 2S deferment in an election year with Kissinger ending the draft-there are plenty more reasons why I'm so cynical.

I got to watch RFK get assassinated on TV in June of 1968 after winning the California primary when I was a pretty astute 14-YO with my Dad still in the Air Force. Then we had the Chicago riots at the DNC later that summer.

Probably the worst was in 1963 at Travis USAF Base in California when JFK was assassinated and we grade school kids were sent home to our parents who were crying. The Cuban Missile crisis a few years earlier is more vague.

The point of this is for you to understand how an older Hillary supporter feels and what our generation has been through. Keep an eye on the GOP game of Operation Chaos, meant to divide Hillary and Bernie supporters. You especially see Trump moles do it because they're new to stealth politics. Now you see why Hillary supporters are reticent to bash Bernie and why we are defending Bernie protesters against trump's goon squads .

Not dramatic at all. Cornyn has just publicly committed extortion. Which is a felony in all 50 states (even Texas) and in DC.

If the House fails to impeach a known felon, we'll have an even bigger disaster on our hands.

Then by all means, make a citizens arrest.

Trump has goon squads? He has some secret service protection and some security people. Are you angry because people who invade his events to deny him his first amendment rights are shown the door? Free speech is only good if it agrees with your agenda?

no one 'invaded' his events
they were admitted like everyone else
hell, at UIC they had tickets. blocks of tickets
so many that they comprised five sections of seating in the auditorium
no way was trump going to be able to jettison them from his event
and thus the ***** cancelled it

the same guy who previously castigated Bernie for being weak by allowing the black lives matter representatives to take over the microphone in seattle. something the donald insisted he would never allow to happen. what a scared wimp

Everyone else wasn't intent on destroying the event.

Presumably to reduce the potential for people getting hurt at the suggestion of the Chicago PD. Yes they were successful at making a mockery of free speech.

So you want consistency from a politician?

Well if someone is going to attempt to smear me with silliness the least that can be done is precise.

Same name phonetically, you obviously had no idea who she was and had to rely on the lameness of the spelling. Its not a sin to admit you don't know something, its how you learn.

You're really making a fool out of yourself, renae.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), Mitch McConnell's deputy, threatened potential Supreme Court nominees that they'd get beat up and their careers would be damaged by the Senate if President Obama even nominates them.

"I think they will bear some resemblance to a piñata," said Sen. John Cornyn of Texas.

Cornyn to SCOTUS nominees: 'Nice legal career you have there. Shame if something happened to it.'

This type of behavior needs to cost Cornyn is seat. We cannot allow this type of bullying to go unpunished. Republicans need to learn a hard lesson about making threats intended to intimidate potential SCOTUS nominees.

I say arrest Cornyn, McConnell, and anyone else who makes threats or attempts to unduly influence the political process.

Why? Cornyn might be a jerk, but why do you believe that more than silliness? He cannot ruin a person so well establish as to be nominated the the Supreme Court. That isn't a threat. It is hot air.

Of course the slander didn't happen yet. It's what was threatened. Try to keep up.
no, it wasn't even threatened.. lern2reed.

They do, but you're not the one who gets to decide what they are.
that's correct... i'm not in charge of word definitions.

And yet it still blew your "point" completely out of the water.
:screwy

He's a corrupt idiot from Texas who needs to be told to shut it. People like him, bluster and all, are a part of the reason the Republican party is dying.
