how shameful
Obama did not even offer to help dig his grave
Obama did not even offer to help dig his grave
Could be any number of reasons. Perhaps he simply doesn't feel it's appropriate given he and Scalia's personal relationship. I dunno. As far as something like this is concerned, it's none of my business.
It's very clear what you've been saying in your thread.
Raising doubts about Justice Scalia's family wanting Obama at the funeral is the type of knee-jerk partisan hackery you normally rail against.
Parsing words about what is a service is very disappointing coming from you .
Obama won't attend Antonin Scalia's funeral - POLITICO
I am curious as to the reasoning. It is entirely possible the family asked him not to attend.
You have consistently tried to shine the President in a negative light in this thread of yours .
I would not be surprised if they asked him to stay away due to the suspicious circumstances of the death.
Well, this might not go aver well with the sitting 8 Jurists.. Ginsberg included. Obama has some pretty important decisions coming up, and this is the kind of thing that pisses even the most ardent ideologues when one of their own is disrespected like this.
Tim-
That's nice. "Many people" disagree with the fact that Obama draws breath every day. No matter what he does, he's going to piss someone off. He's the president.
The libruls were much much worse when Bush was president.

Your argument is a straw man. My discussions in this thread have been in regard to the Office of the President, and the Office of Supreme Court Justice. So, your straw man and detour regarding whatever it is your trying to obfuscate with is irrelevant to me and what I have been saying consistently.
Obama is a very small man.
yep he is. he has shown it time and time again throughout his presidency.
we know the disdain that he has for the SCOTUS in general.
Of course I could care less. Whether the President represents the office or not in a respectful manner is something I care about, therefore I could definitely care less. I believe you meant to ask me if I couldn't care less.So you could care less........
All I am asking you and your stawman is:
Are any of the GOP candidates attending?
You can make your own conclusions
In case you all missed it... This happened:
:scared::scared::scared:
That wasn't his funeral.
I never said it was his funeral nor did the video...
So then what was your point? The thread was about Obama's refusal to attend Scalia's funeral.
That he still paid his respects to him while Scalia was lying in repose in the Great Hall and the President not attending the funeral of a Supreme Court justice his not an unprecedented/uncommon move...

Is there a real difference on which event Obama attended?
