Why are blacks overwhelmingly Democrat?

Actually it was a half joke / half jab; but seriously the absolutely moronic drivel I see coming out of our elected liberals is absolutely astounding and they can only get there by equally ignorant voters. Lets not fool ourselves and try to equate educated with intelligent, I have seen Ph.D. Physicists that actually believe in the Earth is only 6000 years old. Don't get me wrong, there are many Conservatives (Mostly the Religious) that got little more than saliva on their IQ tests...but over all Democrat voters have, by far, drawn the short straw when it comes to being, gullible.

Ok, pal.

Yes.. and rightly so... because unfortunately.. many in my party.. the republican party tolerate it.. even when they don't support it. It started with Reagan. Reagan saw a way to get southern white democrats.. that were upset with civil rights.. that were upset with busing.. etc.. to come into the fold of the republican party. That's when he began talking about "welfare queens" and "states rights". And he won elections.. and unfortunately... it got away from us. What was a way to wean more votes.. has now been allowed to become a voice within the party.. and colors the whole party.

Just look at Trumps racist statements and then see no backlash from republicans. That's speaks volumes to non republicans.

Just recently, I got a phone message from a republican PAC supporting a person running for President. I wish I had thought to hit save on the message machine.. but it went basically went like this: "this is blank from blank running for President. "Its time for republicans like yourself to see whats going on in America".. In (my state), the greatest influx of people into the state was non white. American culture and values that we hold so dear are being threatened by the increase in non white population in America. Now is the time to support (blank) for President.

I am republican and conservative and have an interracial marriage. It amazes me that a republican PAC thinks that such a message is going to get me to give money to it. So its not surprising to me that Black people think that republicans are racist... heck.. its obvious that at least one of the republican PACS thinks that I am racist and would respond to such a message.

That's an interesting story, especially since I have been told explicitly by several conservative posters here that the Southern Strategy -- which is basically exactly what you described -- is a liberal myth.

No, race is not the only way the parties have evolved.

You're not "buying it" because it's politically inconvenient.

Care to expand on that? I agree both parties have merged on many issues since being bought off by the corruption of wealth, but I don't see a flip on party ideologies. Republicans want blacks to be free through self reliance. Responsibility and accountability, Democrats still want to keep the blacks in a position of dependence, swap the Master for the State. What the Repiblican's want is racism, vote Democrat and we'll take care of you .... boy.

Ok, pal.

Sorry but "We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it" (Unread) requires a certain amount of gullibility both for the Representives and the voters that allow such non-sense to continue....Just one example.

Ah, the "Democrat plantation" argument. Surprised it took until page 21 for that one to surface.

Oh, for crying out loud, that statement by Pelosi did not mean the bill was unread and you damn well know it.

I suspect your correspondent is here under a false flag.

Okay.

Well you know me, I expect my Representives to all read every page of a bill before they vote on it. If your good with some of them reading some of it, then passing it to find out what they passed over was all about, I would rather you save your spin and pass on your vote next time around.

On the contrary, that's exactly what she meant.

On the contrary, Jack, no it's not.

"We have to pass the bill so you can find out what's in it, away from the fog of the controversy."

She never said that Congress had to pass the bill so they could find out what was in it. That is yet another in a laundry list of right-wing lies. What she said was basically that there was so much BS out there about the ACA (death panels, anyone?) that passing the bill was the only way to dispel it. I don't necessarily agree with that premise, but it's not even close to the lie that is basically accepted as fact on the right.

Fair enough, but it still seems as if she didn't really know what was in it.

  • You've heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don't know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention—it's about diet, not diabetes. It's going to be very, very exciting. But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.

Oh, for crying out loud, that statement by Pelosi did not mean the bill was unread and you damn well know it.

Even the SC Justices declined to read that entire monstrosity. Pelosi wasn't lying. I know that's rare, but in this case she spoke the truth.

I'm non-ideological, and I don't intend to take anything up with him.

So you claim. Yet you do literally nothing other than trash liberals and Democrats at every turn.

Quack quack.

What's fact is the statement is still ridiculous. The American people should have access to information about the bill before it was ever brought up for a vote in congress. Obama said he would put health care negotiations on C-SPAN.

Another Obama lie slurped up by the left.

Just like this lie:

“No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people… If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.”

No wonder he is so despised by those not indoctrinated with his dogma.

Oh, I don't know. In this forum I have supported both open borders and a national income floor, not to mention abortion rights and SSM. I confess that I think most on the left are insufficiently protective of individual liberty, and we fight wars to win.
