transcript:

We have got to identify the people who are most likely to be radicalized. We've got to cut this off at the beginning. There is always a certain number of young people who are alienated. They don't get a job, they lost a girlfriend, their family doesn't feel happy here and we can watch for signs of that. And there are members of the community who can reach out to those people and bring them back in and encourage them to look at their blessings here.

But I do think on a national policy level we need to look at what self-radicalization means because we are at war with this group of terrorists. They do have an ideology. In World War II if someone supported Nazi Germany at the expense of the United States, we didn't say that was freedom of speech, we put him in a camp, they were prisoners of war.

So, if these people are radicalized and they don't support the United States and they are disloyal to the United States, as a matter of principle, that's fine. It's their right, and it's our right and obligation to segregate them from the normal community for the duration of the conflict. And I think we're going to have to increasingly get tough on this, not only in the United States but our allied nations like Britain, Germany and France are going to have to look at their domestic law procedures.

Figures, it was only a matter of time before some clown suggested internment camps.

Its scary what this democrat wants to do. Im reminded of what another democrat, FDR-did to the Japanese in WW2.

Gee, I wonder if it reminded you of that because he literally used that as an example?

Let's not pretend for a second it's going to be liberals/democrats supporting the idea, though.

Ah just a suggestion, eh? No doubt the internment of the Japanese by FDR (D) started the same way.

What is it with authoritarianism and the left? Not exactly shattering those lefty stereotypes here, is he?

Right wingers are authoritarians, which is why you see more right-wingers supporting this than left-wingers.

Kindly point out the republican politicians that want to put muslims in US and European internment camps. I will wait.

I didn't mention politicians. Nice attempt at deflection there.

Wesley Clark is a jackass.

His entire rationale is that we unjustly imprisoned American citizens once for having unpalatable views, so we should do it again, because why not? That's creepy thought-police ****. Nothing like using stupid past mistakes as a blueprint for future mistakes.

And, shockingly enough, one of the usual suspects has to come running in here to hack it up. Get a life.

Says the guy who says it was just a suggestion.

Where did I say this?

Also... isn't it? What else is it, an order? Did he issue an order? Oh wait, he can't do that can he?

Kobie, remember when Wesley (always hated that name since mr belvedere) Clark (D) ran for president under the democrat ticket? That wasn't terribly long ago.

Now do you understand why the creepy thought police left is always being ridiculed by conservatives?

So your premise is it was randomly mentioned, just randomly?

C'mon, you know the drill. If a retired general who is a Democrat says something, all liberals believe it. Even though all liberals hate the military. Or something. Also, too.

So your premise is it was randomly mentioned, just randomly?

You said I called it "just a suggestion." I didn't say that.

I also didn't say it was "randomly mentioned."

What the **** thread are you reading?

Face it, we have an authoritarian prominent democrat advocating for orwellian policies.

Face it, it's conservatives who are nodding their heads at the idea.

I gave him support but am having a rethink. I was considering those who posed a 'clear and present danger' but that's not really mentioned. Still believe Gitmo should be utilized though.
