China Bans Islam & They Don’t Care About All The Cry Babies Who Complain

Destroying a military base and a torpedo plant didn't end the war. Massacring civilians with nuclear weapons is what ended the war.

School children and innocent Christians are your idea of criminals and agents of tyranny?

Because there aren't any.

You sound as though you thought it illegitimate to have employed Fat Man and Little Boy.

So you ignore the reason why the weapons were deployed..Shocking,.

So you want to bring up the victims of crime? Great still millions of people use firearms for self defense, but you have to ignore them right? Or else you narrative goes to crap.

Maybe if they teachers and people of the church were armed and not disarmed by moronic laws they could of fought back...But then again your side can not side people defending themselves.

North Korea, China, Cuba, Venezuela, etc. But keep trying that "they are not communist" meme.

To him there is not, unless it was the USSR using it against the nation of Germany in that case he would have supported it.

I believe it was necessary to end the war, but pretending it wasn't intended to cause mass civilian casualties is foolish.

They were deployed to end the war by demonstrating the annihilation of an entire nation was possible. They were not deployed to destroy military infrastructure.

The victims of violent Muslims should fight back, then there wouldn't be an issue.

I'll buy you a dictionary for your next birthday, then you can figure out the difference between communism and socialism and get back to me.

That is an odd opinion for someone interested in international peace.

Does not change the fact that at the time they were used they were legitimate.

Here is the thing: China won't experience much terrorism if any at all. Police states rarely experience any of that. This is just one more piece of evidence that proves China is not a modern nation. They are not a free country.

Well if it does, it will also lose the kerfuffle over Christian holidays, and Hindi holidays, and all other religious holidays, so it'll be just like most other western countries. I seriously don't get where you're coming from here.
Seems you're having a different perspective of what's going on than what is actually going on.

I'm looking at this from the long term perspective.

Religions have been around a lot longer than China's communist party and they'll be around after it goes out of business.

Wait and see.

You wanna beat? They killed 76,000,000 of their own countrymen under Mao.

They have Nukes and the "**** it" attitude
.

Who cares? The USA has a lot more nukes than China and showed that it will use them in WWII

Remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki? the same thing could happen all over China.

I think the point is, religious people everywhere, when given sufficient freedom to "practice", will eventually engage in behavior that is offensive to the rational authority of any government that claims to serve the people. They have some of the same problems with faith in China that we have here and both countries have had to create legal limits on its expression.

I don't think it's hyperbole to say that if there were no legal limits on religious expression in either country, American Christians would still be burning witches and Chinese Muslims would be spreading from village to village, by force if necessary, and the world would be a much different place.

Why is it that the faithful can't be counted upon to police their own culture? Why does the right to believe whatever you want not include the duty to believe something humane and rational? How fortunate for the rest of us that we have government authority as a shield against the arbitrary desires of a subjective god. In this way, the Chinese might be better off than we are.

It is actually a totally different situation, China has almost none of the issues other countries have. Xinjiang is supposed to be an autonomous region, but the CCP has infringed upon that and seeks to brutally oppress the native population in order to control the natural resources. If you do not attend a state-sanctioned religious institution you are likely to just disappear, that is not religious freedom by any definition.

They have experienced terrorism when Muslims have driven SUVs into crowds of people or attacked people with meat cleavers. China is a police state and, as such, terrorist acts are not advertised widely but they DO happen. The fact that we don't hear about it doesn't mean it's not happening, just that the press is not free to report it.

There is a lot of speculation and evidence in support of it, that the Chinese government may be orchestrating some attacks in order to garner public support for the oppression of Muslims in Xinjiang. It would not be the first time they have done it.

There's no doubt, though, that religious wars during the Qing dynasty cost many lives and nearly cost them a country. That's not communist spin, that's a fact. I don't think they are as quick to forget the lessons of the past in China. American politicians are much more likely to pander to the religious and pretend that the modern incarnation of the faith community is less dangerous. I tend to believe that the widespread belief in super nature is a catalyst to violence and civil unreast, as much today as ever. Do the Chinese step all over human rights? Yes. Is there some degree of rationality to certain policies? Yes.

No, the Communist Party makes of point of destroying Chinese history (e.g. the Cultural Revolution) and not learning from the past.

From a point of view of preserving the power of the CCP, yes it is rational, by any other view, no.

History is written by the victors, or so they say. The history I'm talking about was mid nineteenth century, before China was communist. Islam, and any other totalitarian faith, is a danger to human society. They will kill and die without any remorse as long as they are operating as god's servants and any social stability that exists in their sphere of influence is both accidental and temporary.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day and, in this instance, China has every right to place limits on faith, even if they are wrong on so many other things.

What about the view that some ideas are dangerous not just to other ideas but to the physical bodies of those who possess them. I'm not saying that the Chinese should implement draconian measures to oppose the spread of Islam, I'm saying that putting limits on how they may disseminate their ideas is probably a good move for a nation that is trying to keep its people engaged in a civil reality. The news is not free in China but there is enough coming in from outside China to well demonstrate the danger they face in coddling the quaint traditions of Islam. Europe has given Muslims too much credit for being able to assimilate and China should not do the same.

It's always the first instinct of the left to believe that people just desire freedom but invariably, when the worst parts of culture are not continuously opposed, the freedom to be an idiot becomes a dominant one. Then, when enough idiocy is condoned or, worse, given cultural supremacy, it will become expected, as in Saudi Arabia and Alabama. This planet does not need a faithful China.

China didn't "ban Islam", it forbade civil servants and students from fasting, supposedly for health reasons.

But, yeah, you really want to use China as your role model for the treatment of religious minorities?

Well if we are going back in time I present the example of the Golden Age of Islam which gave us many things we use in day to day life, like algebra, the zero, our numeral system, the foundation of Western medicine. The Uighurs want their autonomy respected, the Chinese are not doing that.

That should be our goal -- to be more like China.

Your beliefs violate every tenet this nation was founded on.

People on the Left are always making comments like; "Liberal Controlled" America IS more Tolerant of other Religions, Cultures, and Beliefs, than the Dogmatic Society of an America Controlled by the Christian Right.

Well, not if that Government IS NOT around anymore!

If the "Liberal Controlled" is so weak and open, that foreign invaders, including MILITANT Illegal Immigrants, such as MS13, can over whelm, subvert, and displace Americas Native Born Government and Sovereignty....

No! It IS not more "Tolerant of other Religions, Cultures, and Beliefs", because it doesn't exist anymore!

It cannot be a better form of Government, if it arranges its own demise! When the "Liberal Controlled" Government is replaced by an MS13 founded Government, America doesn't exist at all anymore!

A Government run by a group Fundamentalist Christian Conservatives, IS more "Tolerant of other Religions, Cultures, and Beliefs", because it has the strength, will, indignation and pride to defend itself and continue to exist at all.

This is one of the stupidest things I have ever read.
