I understand the first part clearly, you associate GAY MARRIAGE with THE MORAL DECAY OF OUR SOCIETY......gotit, loud and clear....gays=bad....but you are ignoring the second part and the steps you took to get there.....the second part being this concern for the welfare of gays, the warning to them (as if they don't know how extremely conservative Sunni extremists can be) that ISIL doesn't like gays......so how exactly do you go from wanting to wipe the moral decay off the streets...to.....wanting to warn the moral decay of another group that wants to persecute them........TOO.......?!?!?

I'm very familiar with what Travis says, DeNiro spent weeks listening to the tapes of Arthur Bremer in prep for the role (and I still don't understand why you would want to associate the words of a psychopathic assassin with the Cruz campaign, but there you are).......but you are still avoiding the point. The point is one day you talk about wiping the moral decay off the streets (including gays), the next you want to warn gays that ISIL is an existential threat to them.

How do you get from there to here?

You have to admit - the astonishing level of creativity in making that flag and the knowledge that it would absolutely unhinge a target audience so thoroughly on so many levels...... that level of talent would probably not have come from a mega-church prayer group.

I think the studio and the movie going public had it right.

Some things are just ill suited for humor by subject or by time frame context or both.

Dildos on an ISIS flag while gays are being killed by fellow Jihadists around the world is in poor taste. It isn't funny and using it as a humorous parody displays bad judgment.

But I'm not Gay so maybe I'm being too overly sensitive. Those who made that dildo flag and those who saw nothing wrong with it and those who defend it here are just allowing us a glimpse of who they really are inside.
