Jeb Bush has had - what is it now? - about a decade to decide whether the Iraq invasion was worth it. So now he decides to run for President, and he is SURPRISED that everyone is asking him about it!

I used to think that Hillary Clinton was the grand champion of political flip-flopping. Move over, Hillary.

For the record, the Iraq invasion was a colossal foreign policy blunder. $Zillions spent, thousands killed, tens of thousands injured, and that's just Americans - we haven't starting counting loss of life and property for the Iraqi people. And at the end of the day, the world is NOT a more stable place.

I'm heartened to see that Jeb Bush is a serious contender for the Republican nomination and for the Presidency - otherwise, there wouldn't be so many threads here trying to knock him down.

The only way that Jeb Bush will see the inside of the White House is as a guest.

Wait and see.

People "try to knock down" the non-serious contenders too.

The thing both Clinton and Bush share in common is the appearance that they aren't serious about becoming president. Neither one seems to be trying very hard. Two seemingly unwilling participants.

If Sanders and Rubio keep up their peformances neither one will be the candidate and I will be overjoyed.

She's declared her candidacy. He hasn't (except for his little slip up).

If I were him, I wouldn't do it. The media seems intent on eating him alive.

I can't see a Libertarian voting for Jeb. It's like ice cream on top of a pizza that just came out of the oven. Some moderate republicans might though.

I don't care a whit. If I can have gridlock, that is the best solution for me. Otherwise I have no interest at all in who the president is. Perhaps we can get a successful businessman to run. Perhaps Trump will join in. I could get interested in a private sector business executive. All we ever get is politicians and I have no use for them at all. I did vote for Romney but I didn't carry the day. People want politicians. It's too bad.

When you say ice cream and pizza you've named two of my favorite foods, but I like pizza 1st then the ice cream.

Lots of threads here on Jeb and Hillary - that tells me they're the two primary contenders and likely the nominees next November, barring the unforeseen.

Me too, but what did you think of my analogy there? Am I wrong or off in thinking that way?

Those genuinely successful in business are too ethical to make it to the presidency. Trump could be the exception, but I don't see that many around who take him seriously. I'm not certain he takes himself seriously concerning the presidency. Don't take my word for it. Just ask Harry Reid.

I can't see a real libertarian voting for Jeb Bush.

I doubt Trump has any interest in political office. He has a big interest in a public pulpit. My gut feeling is that Romney would have made a good president. So would Trump but I doubt he will jump in. He doesn't need the money or the power or the bully pulpit. He has all that already. He is a political commentator and enjoys that role.

This libertarian wouldn't. If I were to vote next year (not likely) I would choose the democrat candidate to help maintain our hard-won gridlock. Since voting doesn't actually reform or change government I prefer that the government does as little as possible. Gridlock helps that.

Trump would fill a vacuum for the political right, but as we can see, there's anything but a vacuum. That's the left's problem this time around - Hillary don't know nuthin about nuthin, and you can ask her, and she'll prove it. She hit her head a while back.
