Gop say something positive about our president.

Since they won't do it for our current president, I'll do one about Bush:

I think he really cared and tried to do what he thought was best for the country. He faced some major crises - 9/11, Katrina, and the housing market crash. I am not sure many presidents could have had those things happen during their presidency and still been viewed in a positive light. And the surge in Iraq faced a lot of scrutiny, but he trusted his advisers and was right in that case.

I can think of one thing....

Years ago, when pirates held an American hostage, Obama personally ordered snipers to take out the trash. Good on him. Full on.

...other than that, 0bama is the worst president of all time. By far.

He made it safe for future Presidents to have more executive power. He made it clear that Congress can be toothless.

well there seems to be a problem with lies. can someone explain to me which president has not lied?Of course presidents lie - CNN.com
so why the big problem with him?

Now this has to be the most ridiculous Obama-excuse ever.

It's okay if Obama lies because they all lie, right? That's downright pathetic.

I cannot accept that excuse. It's not okay for ANY politician to lie...and, since Obama is in Office right now, he is the one to get slammed over it.

Past Presidents and their lies are in the past. Obama is right now.

Reviewing this list it's clearly apparent that it's from an Obama fanboy.

Sure, he's done some things, but what is laughable is his inconsistency at doing it. Like the public front end of this administration is completely disconnected and operating in an alternative reality from the back end of this administration that are taking the actions.

For example: Brought Much-Improved Transparency and Better Government

How does this jive when he's hired many lobbyists, something he promised he wasn't going to do at part of his transparency initiative?
How does this jive with all the obstructionism, stalling, lack of providing requested documentation of a long list of congressional oversight committees?
How does this jive when there are journalists which call this administration the least transparent.

Yeah, he's really good at mouthing the populist words making everyone feel really good, all full of hope and change, but he's really bad at delivering the results, an often recurring pattern with him it would seem.

I had the same thoughts about that list. But, you know, to a liberal/progressive/Democrat it's a good thing to mouth platitudes or issue EO's...even if no improvements actually occur.

Which brings me to the only positive thing I can say about Obama: He TALKS good.

how would you honestly defind the state of the union as obama took office in 2008?

About the same as it is today. Nowhere near the "deepest depths of hell."

give Obama the 4trillion he is asking for so he may completely fix the crap good ole g.w. bush left us with.

He hasn't fixed anything in 6 years...why would you think he'd fix anything in the next two years? Just because you give him a bunch of money?

With only 2years left in office would be nice to start to see the GOP say something positive and give this president some respect for saving this nation from its one way trip into the deepest depths of hell. A path that last guy had us on as a nation with his non domestic agenda.
Updated! A List of 276 Accomplishments by President Obama so far… With Citations | The PCTC Blog

While most of those seem to be true, not all are. For example, the following one in the list is not true. Obama spoke about it, but never did it. Medicare still cannot negotiate for drug prices. This makes sense, when you consider that Big Pharma owns the Democratic Party.

Eliminated the Bush-era practice of forbidding Medicare from negotiating with drug companies on price. Article > US govt will negotiate Medicare drug prices, says Obama

Hateful?

I didn't hear Guiliani say anything hateful. Would you care to give examples of the "hateful crap" you heard?

Hateful might not be the right word. Ignorant and asinine are probably better descriptors of Guiliani and his opinions.

The only good thing I can think of about Obama is that in less than two years he'll be out of the White House.

That said, America will be decades repairing the damage done by Obama and the Radical, Ethnocentric, Greedy, Power Lustful, Fascistic Left that he put in control of the Democratic Party.

There is a reckoning coming to the Left, and it cannot be soon enough, nor too harsh.

God Damn the Left!

Yet nothing he said was wrong in a factual sense. Obama has a tendency to do dumb things and involve himself in things he has no business being in. Trayvon and Brown, and Gates being three good examples. So we end up with Eric Holder flying around the country and rose garden beer summits, he champions issues he does nothing about.

He speaks with contempt for many Americans, according to him people like me who live in small towns are just buck toothed gun toting Jesus freaks. He talks about new opportunities for Americans, wow he is blocking anything that will create new job opportunities for Americans, like Sen. Ron Wydens O&C bill which would bring thousands of jobs to devastates oregon communities, refused water relief for Central Valley farmers, is blocking an oil pipeline that will bring many jobs while saving the environment from train disasters, his healthcare law is basically using the IRS to collect profits for big insurance companies. I think he genuiley has contempt for average Americans. We need a strong middle class and I fail to see how President No is doing anything to help that

Well, like him, you are entitled to your opinion. Unlike you, though, he has explained his opinion. Perhaps you can explain yours, as well?

Exactly what is ignorant and asinine about what he said?

It's scary that you believe that nonsense.

He's explained this dumb ****ing statement?

"I do not believe," said Giuliani, "and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but I do not believe that the president loves America. He doesn't love you. And he doesn't love me. He wasn't brought up the way you were brought up and I was brought up, through love of this country."

I disagree. He's a complete ****ing fool that suckles off of the boob of 9/11. What a sad, old, piece of garbage.

Theres always SOMETHING nice you can say about an otherwise completely worthless and incompetent douchebag. Compliment his shoes.

LOL!!

Do you call that an explanation of your opinion? Sounds to me as if you just don't like him. Yep...Rudy did a better job explaining his opinion than you did.

These threads don't work for a reason. Rabid conservatives have invested so much in hating Obama that if he single handedly saved orphans from a burning building they'd criticize him for not saving the building.

An excellent example of liberals giving him too much credit, again.
