I think it's important to outlaw cannabis in every state here in the US.
It's already illegal at the federal level, which means that it is a federal crime to possess marijuana no matter what state you live in.

I think keeping marijuana prohibition in place is proof that our government is not capable of learning from mistakes of the past. Prohibition policy is a loser.

Why cant a discussion about pot just be about pot? Why?
Are you prepared to outlaw cigarettes and alcohol as well?

I'm anticipating a response. if I get one at all.
I hate incrementalism and that is exactly what "medicinal" marijuana is. It's the first step toward general legalization and everyone knows it.You wont. 90% of those for Amendment 2 here in Florida have no medical use or know anyone with a medical use for marijuana.
I wish they had just been honest about it and wrote the amendment for recreational use.
There will be other medical options.I hate incrementalism and that is exactly what "medicinal" marijuana is. It's the first step toward general legalization and everyone knows it.
There very well may be but that isn't my point. There will be other medical options.

I just wish they'd cut to the chase and stop promoting pot for it's supposed medical benefits and just admit that they want to get high.

Do you remember how the prohibition went? When Alcohol was made illegal the number of people drinking skyrocket. If some thing is bad but not well know the best cores of action is to slowly introduce it to the population and make it look like a bad idea. If we just made it illegal it would suddenly get a huge market.
What's about Colorado?
Right. So I think allowing cannabis in some states was an bad idea.
