What's actually more shocking is right-wingers agreeing with Bill Mahrer.
Charlie Rose only made himself look either so uninformed, or blindly biased, in his pathetic rebuts.
No, Maher is still liberal, but at least he's starting to figure out if he wants to be American or not? Whether the enemy is over here or over there? Whether it is Christianity's evils we need to defend against or Muslim's. Because for twenty-years, all I've heard out of leftists is how much more evil the crusades were or the inquisition and that whatever harm came to America was well deserved as punishment for those ancient sins.
Now, at least one leftist is starting to see the light?
Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then.
So much for the "conservative" mantra that liberals (like Bill Maher) love Islam and hate Christianity.
Or, is Bill Maher suddenly a conservative? It's difficult to keep up with words that have constantly shifting definitions.
Give me. Multiple quotes... In which... Liberals... Have said that "whatever harm came to America was well deserved."
I'll make the bet right now, you cannot find a single freaking one. Never mind finding multiple.
While the leftist is "seeing the light" the conservative is clearly sealing his own coffin.
I think the United States, by its own rules, is subject to being bombed
Churchill made headlines shortly after 9/11 with his incendiary essay, On the Justice of Roosting Chickens: Reflections on the Consequences of U. S. Imperial Arrogance and Criminality. Among other mush, Prince Charming’s essay suggests that Twin Towers victims helped grease the wheels of an “immoral” U.S. policy and therefore deserved to die. He has never retracted his inflammatory statements and still stands by his belief that America is ‘a force for evil.’

Or Bill Maher taking his head out of the sand and agreeing with the "right-wingers."
I don't know Maher. The guy is stating facts!
I'm reacting to the response(s) of Charlie Rose. It's hard not to see the liberal mindset in display.
I believe Bill Maher has found a lot more acorns than you have.

Liberals see themselves as supporters of all minorities and groups of people, so when a fact comes up about a group they sometimes finding themselves ignoring it and other times flat out lying about it to flip things back to their advantage. The sad truth is that sometimes groups of people are not what we want them to be and we need to face up to the facts about that group to truly help them.
If you ask me while conservatives are slowly getting over their issues with gay people, liberals are only expanding their problems by adding more groups into the mix and ignoring even more facts along the way to help them.
I get laughs galore watching the liberals trying to solve social ills, like when the left-wing Einsteins gave out $400 stipends to homeless people in San Francisco some time back. Pretty soon every bum in America was hitching a ride out west. It was bums galore and crime and vice went through the roof. The police finally convinced city hall to kill the program so the city could return to "normal."
Like cuddly minorities having problems with spousal abuse in the NFL, this throws a wrench into the gears of the left. They dont know what to do and freeze solid.
Lots of things really. Muslims, blacks, Hispanics, transgenders, poor people, women etc. If a fact comes up that doesn't fit their narrative things in their argument go sideways a bit. They lie about research, statistics, commonly held beliefs, etc to maintain their position. If they aren't doing that when their argument gets a hole punched through it they will start to label people as this or that to try to redirect attention away from the issue that has appeared in their narrative.
