The trickery against Ukraine by Russia, the USA and the UK into giving up their nuclear arsenal has now resulted in Ukraine's future to be that of a destitute country surviving as beggars to Russia in the lose of Crimea.

Within 200 nautical miles of the Crimean shoreline there's an estimated 45 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves.[SUP][19][/SUP] Hydrocarbons in the Black Sea shelf could yield as much as 1.5 billion cubic meters per year.[SUP][20][/SUP]Crimea also possesses several natural gas fields both onshore and offshore, all connected to Ukraine's pipeline system and were starting to be drilled by western oil and gas companies before annexation.

Russia just stole Ukraine's natural gas, while charging Ukraine billions for gas from Russia and soon will be making Ukraine pay for Ukraine's natural gas that Russia just took by military invasion against defenseless Ukraine.

Ukraine has lose a major food source for their people, for which they will be begging the West on only to buy Ukraine natural gas that was stolen by Russia, but also to buy Ukraine food that has been stolen by Russia.

Ukraine has also lost it's most valuable seaports. According to the International Transport Workers' Federation, in 2013 there were at least 12 operating merchant seaports in Crimea.

Ukraine is now destined to be an impoverished sweatshop for Russia and Europe, perpetually the beggars being a conquered people. Russia could take all of Ukraine but likely won't, since it is more economical to have just stolen Ukraine's wealth and self sustainability - and then get the USA and West to give Ukraine "loans" to buy what it need from Russia - who will be selling what it stole from Ukraine back Ukraine on borrowed money plus interests - while using Ukrainians as 35 cents and hour laborers to avoid freezing and starving to death.

But quite a few members of the forum cheer this against Ukraine because at least the Russians are evicting the native Muslims from Crimea creating their perfect white-only nation, which of course the forum's racists cheer.

I wouldn't exactly call Russia the "thief" although culpability of Western Reserve Bankers Is certainly suspect. Here's the IMF's head's comment on Russias's actions.

Ukraine

"MOSCOW, April 3 (RIA Novosti) - Ukraine's ailing economy would have collapsed without Russia's financial help, the head of the International Monetary Fund said Wednesday.

IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde said that the Eastern European country's economy had hit a wall last year and was heading for disaster when Russian bailout money averted a catastrophe.

"Without the support that they were getting from this lifeline that Russia had extended a few months ago, they were heading nowhere," Lagarde said in an interview broadcast on the US PBS channel.

Russia made a crucial decision to invest a hefty $15 billion in Ukrainian eurobonds late last year, disbursing the first tranche of $3 billion in December. Moscow and Kiev also agreed to steeply cut gas prices for Ukraine in an effort to boost the country's ailing economy.

But the cash injections and discounts were frozen following a coup amid violent protests in February that led to far-right parties gaining key positions in the new government.

The IMF chief confessed that Ukraine had been cut off from international financial markets. She stressed that IMF money comes at a price, meaning Ukraine was expected to do what it had to do to reform its economy, including making some hard choices.

"It's an economy that needed reforms, that needed profound transformation of its fiscal policy, of its monetary policy, and of its policies on energy," Lagarde said.

The Washington-based fund said last week it had signed a binding accord with Ukraine, under which Kiev was to receive $14 to $18 billion in standby credit in exchange for painful economic reforms. Ukraine expects to get a total of $27 billion in the next two years."

The blame for the state of the Ukranian military lies squarely with themselves. They should have said no to the deal with the west and Russia but they didn't. Its completely on them for the situation they are in.

So now you support the IMF? Who do you think the IMF is? Do you think you'll ever stop debating yourself?

With the massive lose of resources, particularly natural gas, Ukraine will have no way to repay the loans plus interest - so they will be perpetual beggars for which the West will loan Ukraine money to buy their own gas from Russia "at a discount?"

I understand you favor Putin, Russia and the Soviet system, while everything about the USA. But at least make up your mind about the IMF and International bankers.

Ukraine has a simple solution available: "Sell the U.S. a 99-year naval base-lease." On the shore overlooking Crimea.

Ukraine has to sell it, though. Put that freedom-talking PM on U.S. TV and sell it to the public. 99-year base-lease for $1 per year. Then and only then, might Putin back down.

The last thing Putin wants is the U.S. meddling in Ukraine. The threat of 99-years of Guantanamo or Hong Kong watching the only roads into Crimea would drive Putin apoplectic. The U.S. may not even need to build the base, the mere threat should be enough to get Putin to back down.

It's low-risk too. What's Putin going to say? Ukraine doesn't have the right to lease its own land? Putin's going to get in our face about it? No.

Ukraine really has to sell it, though. Obama clearly gave Putin "flexibility" and won't take even a $99 lease, if polls don't force him. A good pitch to the public should do the trick. After all, what excuse could Obama have for not taking such a public offer? It's win-win for the American public.

Sorry, I can't help you with your reading comprehension problem. I don't support the IMF, but apparently the IMF recognizes that Russia was helping Ukraine. I attached the link to demonstrate that it is not a link you will likely find in Western Mainstream Brainstream Media as it reads counter to the demonization programming ongoing in the USA. I have most certainly made up my mind about International Bankers. They are world class scumbags, especially the IMF, but generally speking the entire Reserve Banking system from BIS to the Federal Reserve.

Crimea has returned to his native Russia. URA-AAA:mrgreen:

Crimea has 54% "ethnic Russians" as the racists explain - because of deportations and genocide of Muslims - which Putin has said he will return to. I understand white racists cheer Putin for this.

before taking Crimea much of the Ukraine had a lot of pro- Russian supporters, and now these people are wanting the entire Ukraine to align with Russia. Look at History here, decades ago America use to use the argument when they see this type of rejection that these people are kept locked up and not exposed to American..."free-dums".
With the age of the internet, many of these people having relatives or friends who live in America or have been to America themselves, this is no longer a valid argument. These people have seen what America and the West have to offer ...and more and more they prefer where they are right now.

The defectors are sieving government buildings in Ukraine, the Ukraine Parliament are fighting(literally) among themselves. Russia have slapped them with a 40% surcharge on it's oil and is calling in all the debt they owe.
Yet ...foolishly America is giving them money.....LOL Vladimir is laughing all the way to the bank as that bounty will only end up in his wallet!

I truly believe Ukraine is about to fall....and it's yet another indication of America's waning influence.

LOL...China ...just sat back and watch the Afghanistan war ....and when the dust settles....they are poised to move in and profit from that country.

Agreed. Putin is being paid American cash to take Ukraine. Win-win for Putin. It's what happens when we elect D-student Obama and D-student Kerry. Fools with our money and the money is soon departed to Russia. Too bad Putin won't take those two boneheads along with our money? Now that would be worth the price.

For $99 America could solve this entire Ukraine-Putin problem. One base-lease and Putin folds his cards and goes home.
