Why are there so many black people in prison? Racism. [W:180]

Excuse me, didn't either of you bother to read my disclaimer in parentheses?!

I make one little joke about unwhites and the PC Police shows up in tandem_

Who knows with you? You have said some edgy stuff before.

I meant no disrespect to the wonderful people of Turkey, I was simply making the point that racism discrimination and slavery have never been exclusive to to the US or the white race_

I believe it is you that has misjudged my wonderful people by believing the lies and propaganda spread by the Democrat Party and its Main Stream Media to further their socialist agenda_

Even though the US is still a predominately White Nation it regularly elects government representatives of every ethnicity and race, including the highest office in the land_

Unfortunately you have based your conclusions on America's history and the progressive movement's marxist tactics, rather than actual 21st century realities_

Racism and discrimination is not tolerated in the United States and I think it's disgraceful that there are still people around the world who actually believe such ridiculous nonsense!
I believe it and I was born and still live in the USA,it's true racism and discrimination is tolerated in this country.Don't fool your self into believing the BS.:peace

Re: Why are there so many black people in prison? Racism.

Yes, it is because of racism.

Controversies - Prison Sentences for Black Men Are 20% Longer Than Those for White Men for Same Crimes - AllGov - News

Federal judges have handed down longer prison sentences for black men than for white men—for the same or similar crimes committed— since 2005, when a court ruling gave judges more discretion in deciding jail times for convicted criminals.

The U.S. Sentencing Commission revealed in a new report that the sentences of black men were on average 19.5% longer than the sentences of white men from December 2007 to September 2011.

The commission did not mention racism as a factor in sentencing decisions, but did write that judges “make sentencing decisions based on many legitimate considerations that are not or cannot be measured.”

I was referring to institutional racism which is the government-sanctioned/socially-accepted variety that once victimized minorities, which is absolutely not tolerated in America any longer_

There will always be racists in all nations and in all societies and of all colors, for which the United States is no guiltier than most and less guilty than many, which is evidenced by its strict discrimination laws and the American majority's intolerance of racism_

In America, the only worse stigma than "racist" is to be labeled a "child molester"_

LoL_Ain't that the smokin red-hot truth from hell!

You'll get no argument from me on this one Gripster_

Sometimes the cold hard facts of reality can set the place on fire_ :nails

A "global" conclusion from the OP based on a single case.

If those are the parameters, I have a solution.

No more arrests of racial minorities. The only caveat is, no more police calls since no arrests will be made.

See how easy that was. Challenge solved.

Re: Why are there so many black people in prison? Racism.

Did you possibly miss the paragraph below taken from your own link Zalatix???

It states that the factors which determine prison sentences don't include racism_

The commission did not mention racism as a factor in sentencing decisions, but did write that judges “make sentencing decisions based on many legitimate considerations that are not or cannot be measured.”

A judge considers many things totally unrelated to race when sentencing someone, such as the heinous nature of their crime and their previous criminal record and/or felony convictions_

A prison term can also be the result of a mutual plea bargain agreement where a defendant pleads guilty to a crime and a predetermined prison sentence, to have other charges dropped_

Such plea bargains can and often do result in more or even maximum prison time per the plea agreement so the defendant can avoid additional time for the crimes dismissed or reduced_

These and other factors are impossible to staticize, yet they are a major part of the criminal justice system and rightly so but this is ignored by the left because it's contradictory to their lie_

Judicial Racism is a myth to feed this lie which you and many others embrace_

Mostly because it's a convenient tool to validate the left's minority victim role_

The Democrat Party propagates many such lies to keep minorities in their pocket_

The Progressive Left/Democrat Party considers African-Americans more politically useful and loyal when black women are barefoot and pregnant and black men are unemployed and angry and both are dependent on big government_

Black America is owned and will remain so until awareness introduces them to reality!
