It isn't an article; it's commentary.

An idiotic piece meant only to masturbate the fantasies of liberals as some sort of superior intellectual guiding force for mankind.
Until we can document the past with the evidence and rigor that solid historical research necessitates, the absence of disability from our written history, its suppression in our formal collective memory, jeopardizes the current quest of Americans with disabilities for full citizenship. Considering that the reality of global warming is much less certain than the liberals make it out to be, it would be the educated person that maintains a healthy dose of skepticism. Let's look at facts: The earth is only 2 degrees warmer than an ice age and 7 degrees cooler than the mean. The over all trend from the industrial age to current time does not exceept the statistical norms for climate change. Simply put, the earth does not warm or cool at a consistant rate. Even during warming trends, there are periods of cool that counter the periods of warmth. To put it so libs understand...the line is spikey. Another fact is that the earth is in a position to warm based on the shape of our orbit. Further, the methane that is being released (naturally) by increased volcanic activity along the "ring of fire" is 10 times more effective at retaining radiation. The reason adding CO2 to the atmosphere does not affect the climate is actually pretty simple. CO2 absorbs all the rays with in a certain radius. Naturally, there is enough CO2 to absorb nearlly all of the radiation. However, Methane does dwindle and rise. During cold periods, methane concentration is lower. During hot periods, methane concentration is greater. CO2 follows methane as a result of increased life resulting from more inhabitabal environment.

But you know, we should believe the guy with a law degree (Gore) over real science.

Most conservatives don't deny global warming, they just deny that humans are primarily to blame for it. We can study global warming trends throughout history and find the same thing happening before humans were technologically advanced, or before humans even existed. This is a natural thing. Humans may have contributed to some small degree, but it would be happening whether we were here or not, and no matter what we do. Liberals can't get that through their heads.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Re: The Republican Brain: Why Even Educated Conservatives Deny Science and Reality.

Did anyone actually read the article at the link? It's totally hysterical. It starts with the proposition (through several large leaps in logic) that global warming is absolutely undeniable then proceeds to use that draw it's conclusions. It would be like if some conservative author said that God is undeniably real, went on to call everyone an idiot who doesn't believe in him, then tried to explain why those people are such idiots.
