Ron Paul continues to be ignored by the main-stream media, even after statistically placing first, along-side Michelle Bachmann in the Ames Straw Poll on August 13th. I thought it was crucial to help spread the word to other voters about the incredible amount of good things Ron Paul can provide to our great country. Below, is a list of 80 reasons why you should vote for Ron Paul.

  1. Ron Paul served his country as a Flight Surgeon in the air force and the air national guard.
  2. Ronald Reagan has called Ron Paul one of the most outstanding leaders: “Ron Paul is one of the outstanding leaders fighting for a stronger national defense. As a former Air Force officer, he knows well the needs of our armed forces, and he always puts them first. We need to keep him fighting for our country.” – Ronald Reagan
  3. Believes national defense is the single most important responsibility the Constitution entrusts to the federal government.

  26. Will continue Refusing to further raise the debt ceiling so politicians can no longer spend recklessly.
  27. Will continue fighting to fully audit (and then end) the Federal Reserve System, which has enabled the over 95% reduction of what our dollar can buy and continues to create money out of thin air to finance future debt.
  28. Will fight for Legalizing sound money, so the government is forced to get serious about the dollar’s value.
  29. Will END the corporate stranglehold on the White House.

He also supports the work of Julian Assange (wikileaks) or at least he publicly questions the matter.

Not sure that is such a bad thing though. He potentially has my vote given the right circumstances.

I just wanted to add that Ron Paul has support from liberals, independents, conservatives, libertarians..he has such a diverse group of supporters. There's facebook pages dedicated to "Democrats for Ron Paul"..etc. Will this be reported by the media? No. But luckily, Jon Stewart stuck up for Ron Paul on his show the other day. You can laugh at him if you want, but it just shows your ignorance. Keep drinking the media's coolaid.

Ron Paul can't win the Nomination, Ron Paul won't be President.

I like the guy. I like a lot of his ideas. I like that if you really listen to him and look at his record he is appealing to a broad range of voters. I hate that people will listen to a few unsupported claims about any politicians and jump on the hate/support bandwagon w/o doing any research themselves. And I hate that people complain about the "status quo" but choose not to vote for somebody who could move us away from it.

Ron Paul is an interesting and different character and I'm glad he is out there making his views known and talked about.

With that said, he hasn't got a chance in @#$% of winning and the upcoming election is too important for token protest votes.

the GOP will pretty much be handing the election to the democrats by acting like gatekeepers and creating a divide that should not exist.

Ron Paul can lose the primary without the media constantly ignoring him, or telling us why he isn't electable. Them doing these things will just push the Paul base away, and in the coming elections, they don't have the wiggle room to push that many voters away.

This election is too important to go with an empty suit that was wrong about everything. Any politician that didn't have the foresight to see how the Iraq war was bad for both the country, and the GOP, will lose millions of conservative votes this go around and will lose soundly to the phony on the other side that still gets the anti-war vote.

Bud, odd as some of Ron Paul's views are, I'd take him as Prez over a lot of people throwing their hat in the ring... but his history is that he makes a good showing in straw polls and suchlike, but totally bombs in the primaries. Is there some reason to believe this year will be different? Not that I know of.

As much as it sucks, sometimes the lesser of two evils is the only real choice you've got. You can walk away and stick your head in the sand but that just makes it easier for the GREATER of the two evils to win.

I don't like it either. I just see voting RonPaul as = staying home that day.

I'll give you 1 reason not to... the "Ron Paul Newsletters"

Sorry but the anybody pushing the "Fair Tax" plan is off the table for me. A flat tax is not what this country needs.

Besides, anybody that thinks they can balance the budget by eliminating corporate, income, capital gains, and payroll taxes and replace it with a flat consumption tax, and still reduce taxes for the upper class is off their rocker, regardless of the amout of spending that is cut.

Ron Paul can't win because no one will vote for him because they think he can't win.

It's a kind of self fulfilling prophecy.

he won't win because he is not a good speaker, and it hurts him. He also isn't really running a campaign designed to win, it is designed to educate, and he does a great job in that role.

His son Rand has what it takes to win, and I am excited to see the message continue to gain strength leading into 2016

I think you misunderstood my position. I largely agree with the media when they say Ron Paul can't win, but I also see it as a mistake they are making in saying so. The more they repeat this mantra, the more they ensure that a sizable portion of his supporters will sit it out.

Ron Paul is actually a team player, but his supporters aren't. It is a well known "secret", that Ron Paul refused to endorse or fund any person running for office against a sitting GOP incumbent. I believe his peers in office know this, and is a large reason why they give him respect that he doesn't receive from the media.

this is the dumbest reason to not vote for a person, so I can totally believe it is your reason for not doing so.

Last thing we need is another war monger. And while he has some ideas, he still supports the rightwing side of the isle and their destruction of America. He is one man on a lost island somewhere, and to dnagerous to be in government.

But imagine the collective sound of millions ****ting their pants if he actually DID win. Talk about shaking up Washington.... don't know how much he'd actually get done, but it sure would bring a whole new perspective and frame the debate in Washington a whole new way. We need a shake up... bad. Real bad.

Sorry, but I don't want anyone in office that uses (or used) racism to raise campaign money.

I don't buy that racism charge against Ron Paul.

I don't buy that racism charge against Ron Paul.

I've checked this thing out very extensively and those newsletters were written to appeal to white supremacists and racists of all kinds. If he was ever the republican nominee, it would destroy the republican party.

I don't really agree with Ron Paul on alot, but he is honest, and I respect him for that. One of the few politicians I respect.
