Arguments against incest marriage

I'm talking brother-sister specifically, here, but if you want to talk about other types of incest go ahead.

as long as both are consenting adults and they take reasonable steps to prevent having tarded kids, I see no problem with incest.

personally, I know I'd rather have sex with my sister (if I had one) than with another man.
 
Inbreeding leads to a higher probability of congenital birth defects because it increases that proportion of zygotes that are homozygous, in particular for deleterious recessive alleles that produce such disorders.

Incest leads to a higher chance birth defects which isn't good for the survival of the species or the child in question. This is the only defense against banning incest that I can see, but it's a pretty poor one since by the same logic we would have to ban sex between any man and woman with a high chance of passing on certain diseases, defects and so on. I don't see any reason to keep it illegal between two adults particularly since I think most people would avoid it anyway since I assume it grosses most people out as it grosses me out.

See, personally it grosses me out right now, but hypothetically speaking if my sister looked like Kim Kardashian I'm not sure if I wouldn't feel differently.

This happens when one lacks a good solid moral compass and lives by the Progressive creed of "If it feels good, do it".
 
I have some pretty good friends that are brother and sister and married...and had a son.

Of course, they are step brother and sister, so no genetic problems for the son.

I think for blood brothers and sisters, if they really want to be life partners then getting snipped and looking into adoption may be the most responsible way to go.

What precisely is the moral argument against screwing your sister? What makes it evil or wrong? What makes it evil or wrong to be romantically involved with one's sister?

dude, who do you think Adam and Eve's sons married and had sex with? monkeys or their sisters?

try reading the story of the destruction of Sodom. Lot's daughters caught him drunk and had sex with him after the city was destroyed and they thought they were the only people left.

plenty of examples of incest being acceptable in the bible.
