It's possible to be considerably overweight and still have a strong cardiovascular system. It's just very uncommon, since most obesity is the result of combining overeating and poor diet with a lack of physical activity.

Breast cancer, colon cancer? Some gynecological cancers?

Its a quick and convienent model to use, but very innaccurate. It may be a little better for use with children, since they don't usually have a tremendous amount of muscle weight that can throw the charts off, but it still is not an accurate predictor.
