If you want ridiculous claims come to Alabama. I hear them everyday from every color. I wish America could stop rewarding childish bickering and concentrate its thoughts on major issues.

And before it gets going I'd like to say that there are things that should carry some minor penalty for saying. Such as say "I like 4 year old butts!" at a kiddie pool. or "Blank should die now, by this gun!" or "BOMB! My God it's a bomb!!" at a sporting arena.

Here is rediculous - a few years ago, a teacher was censured for writing "Niger" on the board. For those who don't know, "Niger" is the name of a country in West Africa near Nigeria, and is the name of one of the most important rivers in Africa.

The "black hole" thing comes up every five years or so. I was a graduate student in astronomy. When the campus paper published an article about black holes, the sistuhs took umbrage, apparently thinking the phrase had been devised to insult them personally. One of the only two females in the astronomy department (I guss that made it more credible than if one of the white males wrote it ) wrote a letter published in the paper, attempting to explain in laymen's terms where the name came from.
