Bradley LaShawn Fowler of Canton, Mich., is seeking $60 million from Zondervan, based in Cascade Township, and $10 million from Nashville-based Thomas Nelson Publishing.
Fowler, 39, alleges Zondervan's Bibles referring to homosexuality as a sin have made him an outcast from his family and contributed to physical discomfort and periods of "demoralization, chaos and bewilderment."
The intent of the publisher was to design a religious, sacred document to reflect an individual opinion or a group's conclusion to cause "me or anyone who is a homosexual to endure verbal abuse, discrimination, episodes of hate, and physical violence ... including murder," Fowler wrote.
"The Court has some very genuine concerns about the nature and efficacy of these claims," the judge wrote.
The other suit, against Thomas Nelson and its New King James Bible, mirrors the allegations made against Zondervan. | Let's find out where people really stand in regards to free-speech rights, the freedom of religion & the ability for minority identity groups to re-shape society cloaked under the guise of seeking "fairness" & "equality". |

| No duh. What do you expect from a God who destroyed cities because of gay people? |

My guess? This guy is doing it to sell more of his crappy book: Reconciliation with the G.O.A.T..God of All Truth
I'm gay and I feel like bashing this guy. It reminds me of a story of two guys I used to know that grew up together in the small town of Ashland, Wisconsin. Both were gay and were out at school. One was a nice guy and got along with everyone and was definitely a bit more femme. The other was kind of an ass and ended up getting bullied at school. He wasn't bullied because he was gay, he was bullied because he was an ass. He sued the school for "discrimination against gays" and sadly won. Some people think of themselves as victims and don't see that what they're putting out into the world themselves is the problem and not who they are. (There are some cases where this isn't the case too, obviously). |

As to God's law: Anyone ever notice how the 10 comendments do not proscribe punishment? Add to that the fact that Jesus teaches the Christian to forgive those who sin against him, and regarding Laviticus law, to first be innocent before carrying out a sentence, and what we are left with in this story is a gay man who needs to get laid.
