The Spanglish Version of the "Star Spangled Banner"

My absolute favorite version of The Star Spangled Banner is a Spanglish version by Rebekah Del Rio. It was featured in the film "Southland Tales." The first few lines are sung in Spanish and the rest in English. The music is what really impresses me though. It is only a string quartet and they chose to do it in a bleak, no hope type of style. I guess this was done to fit in with the film.

It is incredible, IMO. Tell me what you think: Is it a freedom of speech issue?

Yes, he was in the movie with Sarah Michelle Gellar (plays a porn star), Seann William Scott (plays a cop), Justin Timberlake, (A disfigured Iraq War veteran), Mandy Moore, John Larroquette, Jon Lovitz (double-agent cop), Kevin Smith (legless Iraq War veteran).

The film was very interesting up until the last 20 minutes. Then it made no sense. I guess I should have expected it from the director, Richard Kelly, also the director of Donnie Darko.

Bah, I don't think it was in the Angels movie... Rookie of the year had all the goofy players. I used to always mix those two up, ^^
