This is something I strongly believe, and something I thank my father for teaching me when he taught me to hunt(behind my mothers back, she would not have allowed it). I don't hunt anymore, but he always told me that you hunt for food, not sport and you always try to end their suffering as soon as you can.

What if we ate slugs would you care if they where treat "humanely"? im sorry but i think you should think economically when it come to animals that have nothing like human emotions yes a chicken will run away from a flame but it doesent mean there is any appreciation.

For those who wish to know the proper way to kill a pig is to shoot it in the head then string it up by the back legs and cut its throat to drain the blood out. When you start to gut him/her you string it up by the front legs. |

It's incredibly arrogant of you to say "Well, this species brain doesn't feel emotions like humans do, thus we can justify killing them painfully and unnecessarily so." Get your head out of your ***. If someone were born without the ability to feel emotions as most people do (if for example they were born with an abnormal amygdala, prefrontal cortex, etc.) would you be able to justify violently murdering them because of their lack of emotion?
Not to mention that there is still some contention over whether animals feel emotion (see Emotion in animals - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ... it's wiki but it gets the point across okay).
