Whether you hate video games or not, this is a free speech issue. Judges have ruled in the past that games are covered under the 1st Amendment. If games are subjected to regulation because of Lazy parents what will be next. Big Brother isnt as far away as we though. Prominate people that think games should be regulated include Rick Santorum, Hillary Clinton, Joe Liberman, Jack Thompson, James Dobson, and various Parental Groups.

Unfortunately, support for regulating video games is bipartisan pandering to irresponsible parents. It makes it easier when it is only one side that is trying suppress our rights and impose its version of what is right.

WOW! Some of these games are not for kids of all ages thats for sure. Although I am against Uncle Sam telling every one what to do I think that the games should be rated just like movies are.
John and Jane are working people and they just don't have the time to controll everything.

As far as all the killing etc. on the games this is what I have to say:
My kids and I have been playing the video games since they came out and we haven't killed anyone, ahhh, hummm, ahhh, YET!

I'm perfectly fine with the government enacting nonbinding ratings (same goes for movies and television, but that's just my pipe dream ).

But the people who would actively seek to ban video games by saying they are "too graphic" need to reread our Constitution and see what free speech is.
