I just bought a video game last week and the U.K. folks chided the "yanks" for having to buy a censored version, and that their version was in it's original, pristince artistic creation. The U.K. folks were cracking up that we have heads exploding in a bloody mess on the big screen, that we go kill civilians in a messy, unprovoked war, but OMG they cannot have a nipple appear in a Mature (18+) video game.
GD American censorship.

I think America has serious sex fears that warp society, and may be overly protective when it comes to exposure to sex. I think most of that stems from religious zeal. I think it hurts people, it basically lies to them about what the world is like, and doesn't prepare them for reality. Finding out the truth later is a bitter pill to swallow, and yes, I blame people for lying and making this a sub-culture, when unfortunately sex is anything but a small part of human existence.

Sure they may mean the violence AND sex, but sex is the biggie that americans freak out about, violence...unrestricted in movies as far as I can tell.

I agree with you we way overdue sex in our society. I go to a catholic high school and they never stop talking about how you can't have sex until your married. I mean they are right about people mess up sex but they make it sound like if you have sex before marrige you'll rot in hell. I say if your 14 or older you can have sex just use protection and don't overdue it.

Yeah...Manhunt 2 is still banned in the UK. Not "there's a censored version available", but outright banned. While it was initially rated AO, it tweaked a little and the rating was brought down to MA in the US. It is a really violent and bloody game, like ultra-violent sort of thing. Not my cup of tea, but I'm not normally opposed to violence in games.

But as for Congress, they want to stick their noses into everything. It's par for the course, the aristocracy believes they should have a say in all the commoner's affairs.

Re: 60% of American's polled believe Video Games should be Regulated by the Governmen

I'm kind of neutral on the censorship of hyper-violence in video games. I don't like it, so I really don't have anything invested in it. But I don't imagine being the perpetrator of ultra-violence, even if it's just in a video game, is ever a good and healthy thing. Especially if there are children playing or watching. And yez, I know that parents should know what their kids are doing, but they ****ing don't therefore making the idea that the government should do it for them not so surprising to me.

If we lived in a perfect world where most people didn't have their heads up their asses doing stupid **** then I'd be all for minimal government intervention.

Do the ends justify any kind of fascist means to you?

I guess so... Why do you hate freedom so much? It was obvious that you hated the constitution before, but now you're so blatantly anti-liberty.

This really explains a lot, considering how much you and the Jihadists have in common.

Censorship and prohibition too? Should Super Mario Galaxy be taken off the racks too?

Why do you even live in America? I think you would be more comfortable in North Korea; And may posterity forget that you were our countryman.

bhkad i agree with you on many issues just not this one. I'm again 14 and i play video games with my friends all the time and my grades are solid. Switching bewteen High Honors and Honors every quarter and i do really well on the national test. Im also very smart in history and politics to, why i go on here. Certanly there are kids who grades suffer because of them but in my opion they would still if video games weren't sold with other things. I think it needs to be up to the parent to decide what is right for there child the goverment shouldn't decide on everything that someone has a problem with.

Fostering anti-war sentiment by posing online as citizens
By Jerome R. Corsi

Islamic terrorists are engaged in a “media jihad” in which they encourage jihadists to pose online as Americans to foster anti-war sentiment in the U.S.According to the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI, a posting on the Al-Mohajroon Islamist website with the username Al-Wathig Billah provides instructions on how to infiltrate popular American Internet forums and use them to distribute jihad films and spread anti-war sentiments.
Its their newest ploy, and it is painfully clever. They pretend to be anit-jihadist in order to portray such a contentious and twisted image of such people that they will garner sympathy for their side.

Very clever bkhad, but I am not falling for it.

This is utter bullcrap. God damn I wish people would just take responsibility for themselves AND their kids.
I swear sometimes I believe we should institute a licensing program for parents. In order to have kids, you gotta go through a one time licensing process that explains responsibility, how to feed and care for them, neglect issues, and how to whoop their damned a$$es at least once a weak without leaving bruises.
