Never tasted kebabs? Strange. I've tasted hundreds: İskender, Adana, Döner, Çöp Şiş, Ciğerli, Manisa, Tokat, Urfa, Ali Paşa, Beykoz.... all delicious, but Turkish beef jambon really doesn't compete with pata negra de bellota. Sorry.

We're going to eat late tonight. I got a slow start with a stew, darn it. But it'll be deeelish.

Cubed pot roast, celery, carrots, spinach, turnip, chopped tomatoes, fresh parsley, beef stock, garlic, bit of bacon, onion, potatoes, couple of bay leaves, bit of Worcestershire, beef stock. Yummy! And Tom bought a package of those Grande' Biscuits to sop up the gravy. Is it done yet??

The finest döner to be found in England is at The Best Turkish Kebab shop on Kingsland Road, Hackney. It's the only one that comes close to the real thing. They make their own döner and shwarma, but I notice that you're in New Hampshire, so that's probably a redundant recommendation.
