New Year resolution "I am on a diet"

Is that buzz in your feet? It sounds a lot like a meal that diabetes would love.

More like a perky pick me up making me wish I could jump on my bike instead of jockeying behind a desk. Rolled oats are actually low in sugar, less than a gram per. Carbs are a different story, but not all carbs are bad. In fact, if you play your cards right, good carbs--those which are high in fiber--are very good.

Not sure if I even want to attempt a diet, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
So what foods taste good, satisfy and yet are healthy and diet friendly?

Edit
To clarify, I am not talking about necessarily reducing calories or denying or starving myself, but am looking for ways to make healthy food more appealing or yummy stuff more healthy.

One thing I think is noteworthy... if its important enough to your life to do something.. why wait for new years to do it?
For this reason I don't make new years resolutions its just a make the decision and start doing it right away.

regarding the issue. set a plan of what you want to accomplish. If its just a goal of ' I want to eat more healthy food and less junk' then I think you should plan a bit. what types of things should I be avoiding and what types of things do I want to eat more of.
you can find lots of resources on healthy and good recipes and then go to your market armed with a plan and stick with it.

I have hijacked a photo posted by TheGoverness on The Funny Pictures Thread ... post #2107. Except for the speedo-style bathing suit, this "fat guy on a surfboard" photo embodies "Future Me" this time next year as long as I keep to my New Years Resolution of no more than 15 pounds of weight gain every four months. I have plenty of slogans to keep me motivated: Easy does it. Progress, not perfection. One day at a time. Let go, let God....fat guy on surf board.jpg
