These kinds of things are just silly to me. And no, I won't be paying attention to either complaint. Breitbart is not a hate site, but Kelloggs or anybody else has the right to advertise wherever they wish. Probably Breitbart will get new advertisers who are in solidarity with those of us who despise militant political correctness of that sort or see lucrative exposure in so many readers.
And Breitbart I think is foolish to engage in this kind of nonsense too. I won't stop buying Rice Krispies for my rice krispie treats because somebody tells me to.
Many years ago I did participate and even helped organize a boycott of the Nestle Corp. for engaging in an unconscionable dishonest marketing practice that resulted in the malnutrition and deaths of third world infants. We were able to make enough economic impact on them that they ceased that practice, and then everybody started buying Nestle products again. (You would be amazed at how many of those there are--it was hard keeping up and getting the information out there of what not to buy.)
But this is simply an internet squabble generated by silly people engaging in a silly argument. I will continue to read Breitbart who are in the wrong and to buy Rice Krispies from Kellogg who are in the wrong. Being wrong is not automatically disqualifying to me.

Actually, Kellogg started this fight, and made it personal. I don't usually participate in boycotts, but in this case, I will try and avoid Kellogg products. Concern over terrorism and illegal immigration is not, "hate speech".
I guess I am just taking the position that I despise political correctness in all its forms so I won't punish Kelloggs for simply exercising their conscience no matter how much I think they are wrong. If I do, then I have no leg to stand on defending a Christian baker or photographer, etc.
That's a separate issue. Defamation, and false accusations of racism and bigotry, are not synonymous with defending religious freedom, IMHO.
:shock:The effect is the same though. The people who try to hurt or destroy people because they are branded 'racist' are no different than people who burn flags and destroy and terrorize and disrupt people because they are 'conservative' and are no different than people who would destroy the business of people who choose not to participate in a same sex marriage. It is all evil and should be condoned by decent people everywhere.
Facing breakfast without Breitbart is easier than without Kellogg's!
No. Even though I am politically-minded, I pretty much never boycott over political or social issues. I will boycott over lousy customer service, though.
