News From McDonald's

i'd try it. i like both veggie burgers (veggie chicken / meat substitute sandwiches in general) and McDonalds, so i bet i'd dig it.

About the most veggie I want to get is a double quarter pounder. Half pound of beef, MMMMMMMM, yummy!!!!

Quarter Pounders are gross man, although the Quarter Pounder BLT made it much more palatable.

Although this year I got one too many Big Mac Attacks.

I prefer Wendy's baconator, but sadly, since I moved, McDonald's is much more convenient to get to...

I have a Wendy's near where I live. I don't ever go there, though.

Same boat.

Love the baconator man, it is categorically my #1 Fast Food Burger.

But I have to drive 20 minutes to another Town to get it.

i like a quarter pounder every now and again. i liked the deluxe one that had mayo, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce, but i think that they discontinued it.

I remember the Deluxe, liked that one, the other thing they have, which is a bit hit and miss is those Angus burgers, those can be great but sometimes whoever is making it messes up the amount of sauce and it can be a bit dry.

When I was in Japan, they had some interesting items such as:

Then they did specialized burgers for the world cup:

I thought that was neat.

those look good.

i had the angus deluxe once in 2009. i really dug it, but it was too many calories (something like 750?) and then they discontinued that one, too. i haven't seen those here since ~2013. i'd like to try McDonalds in different countries, because it seems like they really vary their menu, and some of the food looks interesting.

anyway, not trying to thread drift too much. if the sandwich shown in the OP link was offered in the US, i'd probably try it. would be nice if they'd offer at least one kind of low fat chip as a side as an alternative to fries, too. i'd probably go there more if i could get the calorie count down, as i log all of my meals. i guess that i could get a salad, but low calorie baked chips would probably make me more likely to go there for dinner. right now, it's an every once in a while slip meal for me.

I read about a food stand in Singapore that was awarded a Michelin star, that's crazy impressive. I'm curious to try Singaporean food after that.

All this means to me is we just found the worlds least healthy veggie burger.

Well even if they wanted it, I'm pretty sure most people here on DP that go to McD's don't live in Singapore.

So much great food options in Singapore. The three main ethnicities (Malay, Chinese and Indian) all have excellent food so there's no reason to go to McDs over there. Their hawker centers are the place to go, though it sometimes gets too hot because they are open air and you sweat because of the spicy food.

Has anyone ever had a successful veggie burger? I like good ones, but I never see them sell.

Since so many of you love McDonald's so much, I thought I'd share this

Vegetarians rejoice, McDonald's just launched a proper veggie burger in Singapore

Yes some Mcdonalds have regional vegetarian menu items. India for example already had some vegetarian menu items. However I doubt you will see any of those here in the US.
