Forcing healthy food

I really wish I liked tomatoes and onions. But I just can't, despite giving them repeated tries every now and then.

I feel the same way about okra. I used to hate oatmeal, but now its okay.

Does anyone else continually try food they hate in hope of liking it just because it's so healthy? I try salmon about once a year, but I hate it. I really want to like it because it's so healthy, but I just can't. Coconut water too, blech. I need to stop trying that.

There's a mobile fishmonger who comes around our way once a week and his grilled salmon is to die for.

Homegrown tomatoes and thinly sliced onion on rye with cream cheese is amazing.

I can't eat tomatoes in that fashion. Any other way is fine. [salsa, marinara, diced, pico, paste, etc]

I tried to like beets, but it didn't work.

I am curious that you may be over cooking it. Overcooked salmon tastes like dried sardines. A one inch thick fillet should get no more that three minutes over a low to medium heat. If cooked correctly the texture of the meat is fabulous. I eat it twice per week.
