YOU: Told Me Pizza Rolls Fried=GREAT!

I am not totally without my faults, however.

Stouffer's French Bread Pizza?

A necessary food staple from my early teens to my early 20s and my friends and I ate likely an arkload of them.

THose are so good, even in the Micro if they still come with that awesome microwave cook tray they used to.
 
You better be frying them sons of bitches in Crisco or better, cause otherwise you are wasting a chunk your calorie intake for the day.

I still on rare occasion get the inexcusable urge for doctored-up Franco American spaghetti & meatballs ... :(

Spaghettios with turkey/pork Hot Dog cut into it, though I cant eat Turkey/pork hot dogs anymore, I use Nathan's all beef.

I ate a lot of that as a kid. Once every decade or so I need to have it again, to remember.

I am still a total whore for Beefaroni, Mini Raviolis, Spaghetti-Os, the lot of them.

Beefaroni always pushed me the wrong way.

Me and my brothers got mom off of those.

Ravioli was #1
Spaghetti-os #2
Mini Ravioli in cheesy sauce was nice.
Can spaghetti was a no-go, we always had Kraft Boxed Spaghetti, and we did eat a lot of that.
Usually no meat, cause that week dad had spent the grocery money on himself.
Him being a angry drunk and all.

EDIT: Come to think of it I was serving #10 cans of ravioli to soldiers as late as 2004 Ft Huachuca.

I moved-out at 17 - me, my roommate, and my girlfriend were so broke I made spaghetti out of noodles, ketchup, hot dogs, and fast-food salt & pepper packages! :mrgreen:

I moved back home a year and a half later! (to go back to school)

As a kid I used to love the cheap microwavable pizzas my mom bought form the grocery. And oh, hot pockets too.

For our D&D sessions it was usually Domino's delivery or take out Pizza Hut (they didnt deliver back then) that our parents picked up.

My wife all the time as a kid had egg noodles which had been boiled, patted dry between paper towel, and fried till kinda crispy in Crisco. Topped with loads of ketchup, maybe a little pepper.

I made fun of her about it all these years(been married 30), then last year I found out by accident that it is close, very close, to a Hong Kong Street food.

Her dad of course was an Air Force Officer who did two tours in Nam.

It's like a pizza McNugget.

It's kind of like Prego inside a little Pillsbury dough pocket but not the real Pillsbury...maybe the Price Chopper knock off of Pillsbury.

I was the same way.....I think maybe back in the 80's someone said something to me about it, like it was done in a carnival setting, but it never occurred to me till some DP member who has not yet stepped up to take his/her prize mentioned it.

Ya, and in the old days that was imitation cheese, something like a 55/45 beef/soy mix, and just enough very flavorful sauce to bind them together.

Now they are majorly sauce, and not a good one at that.

America, we cant Get-R-Done anymore.
