'Veg-friendly’ Barcelona joins Meat Free Monday' [W:52]

Once again MV ignores a point about a balanced diet.

one meat free day is not going to hurt you. you can just eat two hamburgers the next day if you think you're wasting away.

no, you're just going aound laying turds in threads.

Sorry I am not.
Meat free Mondays is NOT about promoting a healthy diet but about promoting a political ideology.
As the french fries and soda example illustrates

Nope no mention of force.

in other news, obesity and bad health have been surging for decades.

That's more to do with our consumption of overprocessed foods, sugars, and all sorts of artificial crap they like to pump into the food market. It is quite possible to have a very healthy lifestyle and physic while still consuming meat.

Anything can be overdone. But it is quite possible to be a very healthy omnivore.

A properly balanced diet is a good goal for anyone. Even a vegan diet in and of itself isn't healthy. It takes some effort to ensure a proper diet is maintained. Cutting down on meat eating alone isn't enough, but limiting meat intake during the week can be a part of a successful strategy to eat healthier.

Not only possible but the best way to have a healthy diet is to include meat.

No problem with that.
My problem is that meat free mondays are not about eating healthier they are about promoting a political ideology.
If you want to promote a healthy diet promote a healthy diet.

True none the less

It's not the "carbs." It's the animal products.

Over 21 million Americans have diabetes.
About 86 million Americans have pre-diabetes.

Diabetes is a leading cause of blindness, amputations, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, and neuropathy. Medications and treatments costs billions and billions of dollars a year.

Yet, the easiest, cheapest, healthiest, and safest treatment (with only positive side effects) is eating a plant-based diet.

Meat isnt the problem poor eating habits are.

the more meat you eat, the sicker you get. we agree. you can slide by if you only consume a small amount.

You will be healthiest by eating a well balanced diet that includes meat and live an active life
