Map of Most Popular Cuisines In Each State

Iowan?

Tenderloin is pretty popular in Western Illinois, too.

And from I know of WI, 'Traditional American' must mean fried cheese curds and burgers with butter on them.

i think that it's a midwest thing. go to a fair, and you'll see five places selling tenderloins that look like that. we have a couple restaurants in town that sell them, too.

That's just crazy.

i generally get a more normal sized one or a half, but yeah, you totally see people eating those monster tenderloins at every fair around here. i didn't know it was a thing specific to my area until someone from another state posted something like "WTF is this?" with a picture of one of the sandwiches.

i see what you did there.

here is a massive tenderloin (that's what he said) :

Holy cow!!
I remember a post of yours in the fitness section awhile back.
You stated you did a massive amount of cardio in order to maintain your svelte form.
Now, I see why.

I'm on the bike as we speak. But no, I don't eat those monsters. If I'm going to throw down two thousand plus calories, I'm going for variety.

Those tenderloin sandwiches look gross to me. Sorry. What are they? Pork? And do they taste salty?

They don't look so much gross - they are just too damn big. I mean, the 2nd one? The ginormous one? You could make 8 or 10 sandwiches out of that thing.
