Speaking of beans, I cooked a huge crock pot of pinto beans day before yesterday. I don't usually cook them, but once a year, I take the ham bone and cook it overnight in the crock pot with the beans, and make a huge pan of cornbread the next day.
Problem is I always make too much. I wonder if they freeze.
They freeze. I make navy beans or whites with onions, celery and carrots with ham meat then put them in lunch size Tupper ware bowls, throw them in the freezer and bring to work for lunch. Been doing it for decades
