Interesting breakfast this morning

i love experimenting with breakfast. i had a barbecue breakfast pizza muffin this morning :

one English muffin, halved.
one to two tablespoons KC Masterpiece Hickory BBQ sauce
chopped onion / tomato (or any veggie that you like)
mozzarella / provolone cheese mix (about a quarter cup divided between the two halves)
oregano

bake at 350 F for about ten minutes or so.

warning : if you eat it while driving, put a full bath towel over your shirt and pants under the seat belt, because that **** is going to drip.

That sounds gross, but only because you called it a "pizza"

Call it a "Texas Open Faced Grilled Cheese" or a "Mexitalian Melt" or anything else, but for the love of God, please don't call that thing a "pizza"!!!!
 
How the hell do you people have time for this in the morning? Omelets?! If I have time to make a cup of coffee I'm ahead of schedule most mornings...:lol:

brand is Back to Basics. i've had mine since 2009 or so. takes five minutes to put that **** in, and it cooks while you're in the shower. awesome.

I have been experimenting with that which I refer to as Heart Attack Tarts for breakfast. Basically, I start with a tart sized filo cup, fill that sucker with whatever moves me (usually some kind of cream cheesed based concoction), break some cooked bacon or crumbled sausage on it, top it with a raw egg and toss it into the oven until the egg is baked. It works okay with yogurt or ricotta or whatever as the filler, but I like the cream cheese base because it works with whatever else I want to add in like onions, garlic, etc. and keeps a thicker texture.

oh, it's pizza. it has crust, sauce, veggies, and cheese. and it is damned good. Helix BBQ breakfast pizza even earned the GF seal of approval.

If all it takes to make it a "pizza" is crust, sauce, veggies, and cheese then I have underwear that qualifies.
