Mapping America's Most Popular Burger Chains

I'm sure there are plenty of businesses that profess to be christian that don't follow those same business practices.

But a thread on "which christian businesses are really following christian practices?" probably belongs elsewhere.

Im sure that a thread on minimum wage industry businesses that pay a lot more than minimum wage belongs elsewhere to, but no one was telling Unrepresented to get out of the thread. The religious hatred is so strong on DP that just one single sentence about religion will get you thrown out of a thread. If it is acceptable for all the liberals to say they like a business because they pay high wages then it is certainly okay for me to say that I like a business in part because of their Christian values.

You didn't have the "murder burgers"? White Castle is indeed best when you are young and drunk. Although I do see them in the supermarket. Five Guys is definitely not upscale. Unless you are comparing it to McD's.

Five guys is upscale if you are talking about an actual scale. The calories in their food are ridiculous even for fast food.

Yea but its really good and keeps me from buying way over priced food at the Red Bulls game, excluding the $10 beers of course.

I don't have a problem with you saying that. However, it could get us way off-topic which, of course, never happens here (grin)

Guess I'll have to try them one of these days! or maybe not.... I've seen them, but associated them more with Fuddruckers or Gordon Biersch than McDonald's/Jack in the Box. That's what I get for discussing something I know nothing about.

I think Fuddruckers is an apt comparison. Another joint we frequented in my younger days.

thanks for the comparison. I enjoyed Fuddruckers back in the day. Just checked - the nearest Fuddruckers is about 90 min away now. Well, maybe someday I'll be in the area!

I like Fuddruckers, but the closest is over 2 hrs away. Been twice in the last 10 years.

You're not missing much. They do make a good burger but for the same price you can usually go to a local joint and get just as good or better.

In-n-out burger finally made its way to Texas, one of the few good things to cone out of California

I grew up with In-n-Out. It is a very well-run corporation, with very good food and service. Even Julia Child went to In-and-Out.

It is disturbing that we need this mapped out.

It's rather grotesque on the one hand, but fascinating on the other...like Hannibal Lecter the mass murderer.

Which is what they are if you look at the carbohydrate/sugar/fat ratios deliberately designed to addict you

Ah, Fudrukkers, how I miss thee...

(Over 20 years and counting, Claim Jumpers too... :()

So, according to this map, McDs, one of the largest, most successfull, more profitable companies in the world, let alone in the food business, gets, what, one tiny little blip in the US?

Hmmmmm.......
Then it is skewed or rigged.
